will this hitch work?

I Have an 85 G1 and have purchased a hitch from ebay for what I thought was a reasonable price. BUT its only reasonable if it fits. I dont want to pull a trailer with it, but i do want to add a cooler rack from Rivco. Can someone have a look and tell if this will work or not as I dont have the rear bumper light bar on my bike.

I think I may have to add a couple of stabilizing bars from the hitch up to the frame of the bike behind the side bags.

Like I told you before, I'll gladly take it off your hands, as it is a bolt on fit, for my rear bumper setup......
