Helmet connector

I know this is a dumb question but.....

I bought a bike that runs great etc, but doesn't have a helmet connector. Looked under the plastic housing at the gas cap, nothing there. Where should I be looking for the cable?

Looks like you have an '03 (best year, shoulda got the red though;-)

 

If you're talking about the intercom connector for the helmet headset on a 2nd gen, it's usually on the bib around the gas tank. Many people move it and zip-tie it to the handlebars. Some others may move it under the tank. There's a passenger connection between the left saddle bag and the seat too. I'd be surprised if it wasn't just relocated somewhere like that.

If you can't find it anywhere, I'd look to see if PO coiled it up and stored it under the tank.

Thanks folks. Took a look around the tank didn't see/feel anything. Will lift tank on week-end.

P.S. Any chance it's inside the fairing? Hope not.
