boominup Posted March 20, 2009 #3 Posted March 20, 2009 George, is that a Hannigan? It's impressive, so far. Brian:thumbsup:
Dano Posted March 20, 2009 #4 Posted March 20, 2009 I say throw a seat and some wheelie bars on it and take it for a ride! Dan
GunnyButch Posted March 21, 2009 #5 Posted March 21, 2009 You are really going to like it. I picked mine up from Hanningan the day after Christmas and love it. Cougar should have his finished in about a week too.
georgew48 Posted March 21, 2009 Author #6 Posted March 21, 2009 Yes, it,s a Hannigan. Hope to have it back by next weekend.

Cougar Posted March 21, 2009 #9 Posted March 21, 2009 Just got my seats back from Rick Butler as well. I had him LOWER the wifes seat a bit do to the rake that is being put on the bike. Anyways, I love what Rick did with the seats he did not lower mine at all do to the Trike Conversion. He did however , got rid of the in-seem part that has always been to wide. I just love how they feel now. (SO COMFY) Jeff
Squidley Posted March 21, 2009 #10 Posted March 21, 2009 Independent suspension, do all ther Hannigan trikes have that or is it an option versus the strait axle?
OutlawRider Posted March 21, 2009 #12 Posted March 21, 2009 Nice trike. Sounds like there are a few of you that have converted. They look good how do they handle in a city corner. Being a verly newbe I have not said much but I sit back and read alot on your threads. I have learn alot on how to do different things to my '08 RSV. Even got my Morgan Carbtune the other day. With the info Freebird and the rest of you have had on sync. the carbs I am sure it will be a walk in the park. Like most of you I hate anyone toughing my cars or bikes. I now what I do, I do not know what they do. Anyway nice trikes.
Cougar Posted March 21, 2009 #13 Posted March 21, 2009 Gunny, It does look as if they do re-rout the exhaust.. My Dealer said something about that as well , comes with the kit.. maybe he is wrong. but looking at Georges pics , it look like they do.
Cougar Posted March 21, 2009 #14 Posted March 21, 2009 Welcome Richard ! Gunny right now has the most experience with the Hannigan Conversion. but , like you say. a-lot of folks have been converting lately.. And most of use are adding the 6 degs rake kit witch in return help a whole lot in steering the trike. Most folks that do not add the rake kit most likely have it installed later. Jeff
GunnyButch Posted March 21, 2009 #15 Posted March 21, 2009 Jeff, Hannigan used the brackets I had to hang the pipes so if it did move it's not enough to matter. It looks cold there in Iowa from your pictures. There are several others on the site that have Hannigan conversions done in the last year or so, I tracked them down and asked a lot of questions. I've got about 1000 miles on mine now and no complaints.
Cougar Posted March 21, 2009 #16 Posted March 21, 2009 Yep Gunny... only ONE day of 70 degs so far that was last week hanging around 45 degs might warm up when the bike is done! But that is IOWA ! Been a long cold winter. been stuck in-side for 4 months now. going stir crazy! Jeff
georgew48 Posted April 8, 2009 Author #17 Posted April 8, 2009 It's finnaly done. I will go pick it up Friday. Gary, my builder says the pearl white paint really shines in the sunlight. I will post pics this weekend.
Cougar Posted April 8, 2009 #18 Posted April 8, 2009 AWESOME George! Your gunna love it I only have about 150 miles on mine cuz of the weather, But I will say WHY Didn't I do this 3 years ago. I think I hated the waiting part the most http://www.triketalk.com/forum/images/smilies/yes.gif Enjoy, and YES the whites are awesome! PICTURES ! PICTURES ! PICTURES ! Also after the first ride post your impressions as well please, Also having the rake done , it seems to be like power steering now! I just love it. Jeff
