ti-lou Posted March 18, 2009 #1 Posted March 18, 2009 I'm looking for a Power Commander for my Royal Star Midnight Venture 2007, if some of you had install this let me know if it's good for you. I had one on my old bike it was good, more power but it was on my Kawasaki Nomad 2003 with fuel injection. On my bike with carburators i wonder if it's good. Please give me your opinion. Thank's, Louis
Freebird Posted March 18, 2009 #2 Posted March 18, 2009 I've been running one for several years now. I have mixed feelings about it. I don't think it really does much for you in just normal driving. I see no real improvement in power in any range. What I do like about it is that it allowed me to set the rev limiter higher and these bikes can still make some GREAT power about the factory set rev limiter. So...I like it but don't know that the money is well spent for those few times when I really want to wind the bike that tight. I just don't do it that often.
Squeeze Posted March 18, 2009 #3 Posted March 18, 2009 I assume your talking about a Dyna 3000 Ignition ? Don't mistake a Powercommander, which is a Device to alter EFI Timing Signals with the Dyna3000 Aftermarket Igniter Uint. A Powercommander won't work on a carburated Bike.
