Anyone know where I can get a replavement.. Are you refering to the collector under the engine, or one of the side mufflers under the side bags? RandyA
Bill Feehan Posted March 22, 2009 Author #3 Posted March 22, 2009 I was refering to the ones beneath the bags,
friesman Posted March 22, 2009 #5 Posted March 22, 2009 Jardines makes a great set of mufflers, but when I was at their website today the G1 Ventures are no longer listed. They may do a special order, but It doesnt look good. Brian
timgray Posted March 22, 2009 #6 Posted March 22, 2009 Does anyone make a universal slip on that will work? or are we all doomed? It's wierd my buddy that has a yamaha XS750 from 1979 has more parts available for his older bike than we do for ours.

It's wierd my buddy that has a yamaha XS750 from 1979 has more parts available for his older bike than we do for ours. I know Condor just finished a group buy from these guys for G1 venture mufflers, but he did have some issues dealing with them so be a bit careful if you deal with them. It took him quite a while to complete the transaction for a myriad of what seemed to be fabricated excuses. BUT, for what its worth, they seem to be the only game in town left making exhausts for our scoots. you will have to send a message about making the mufflers as the parts arent listed on the website. http://www.macperformance.com/contact.cfm You could also contact Jardines and see if they could make mufflers up for you as they used to build good quality stuff for our bikes and just quit listing our bikes. Maybe it would be worth your while to ask . Brian
DragonRider Posted March 22, 2009 #8 Posted March 22, 2009 Find you a set or Harley Road King mufflers, they sound good and are easy to come by, you will have to fabricate a connector pipe and hanger, but its not hard, I did it to mine...........

Anyone know where I can get a replavement.. What exactly is rusting. A pic would help. If it is the extention for the tips then you can get a sawsall, hacksaw,or some other device to cut the extentions of. I just finished this on mine and drill out 8 3/16 holes around the center pipe. Love the sound , so now I'm off to the muffler shop to have a turndown 4 3/4 inches inlet fabbed up and then chromed. When its all done I'l post up some pics and a sound wave if I can figure ouot how to do it. Pics are no prob just never posted a sound wave or video. David
Bill Feehan Posted March 23, 2009 Author #10 Posted March 23, 2009 Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I will look into the Harley Road King Mufflers, I think it will be the least expensive option. Bill
