sleepy2 Posted March 16, 2009 #1 Posted March 16, 2009 Checked battery voltage and it showed 12.47volts--tried to start but no go--then held start switch on and it started finally. Went for about 100klm ride and had no problems so will go to work and check with battery place after work to make sure battery is ok. If not will have to buy new one.
Dano Posted March 16, 2009 #2 Posted March 16, 2009 Need to check your voltage at 2500 rpm, that's when these stators start working at full capacity. Check battery after running bike for about a half-hour (Yes ma'am, I have to take a ride to test my charging system). Then check 24 hrs later and see if there's a difference. You also might want to spray some contact cleaner in the start switch to clean the contacts. Dan
