SkyKing Posted March 16, 2009 #1 Posted March 16, 2009 (edited) After considering a few Ventures scattered across the country, I finally bought a 2000 Venture MM. The Palimino has 35k and fitted with a few extras. Below are some pics from its current home in Las Cruces. The bike will be delivered to Corpus Christi next Sunday. I will upate with more pics then. This would not have been possible without the great folks on this site.....Thom, Harry, Goose, John and others. Now if you are still looking for a bike, check out www.re-cycles.com in Dallas. I was seriously considering buying a beautiful 2000 red Venture with 33k miles for $6995. It should arrive in Dallas tomorrow. He also has a 1981 SECA 750 with 4000 miles for $2,595, a 1988 V-MAX 1200 for $3995 and a 2005 Road Star 1700 with 3,425 miles on it for $7,395. Pictures of all of the above are on his site. Ask for Brian. Again, thanks everybody for making me feel at home. I am looking forward to riding with you very soon. Come to Corpus. Mike Edited March 16, 2009 by SkyKing
Jethroish Posted March 16, 2009 #2 Posted March 16, 2009 CONGRATS! Not only a nice bike but very low milage. Can't wait for the pics.
slick97spirit Posted March 16, 2009 #5 Posted March 16, 2009 congrats from a fellow palomino owner. Love mine. Nothing else like it on the road.
Squidley Posted March 16, 2009 #7 Posted March 16, 2009 Nice looking machine you got yourself there I have no doubt that you will enjoy it.
Cougar Posted March 16, 2009 #8 Posted March 16, 2009 Very Nice.. Best looking bike Around! But I am a bit partial to that year. Jeff
kenw Posted March 16, 2009 #10 Posted March 16, 2009 Great bike. I like the colors-very clean looking! Enjoy the ride!
slick97spirit Posted March 16, 2009 #13 Posted March 16, 2009 Hey I noticed your passenger backrest. It's different than mine. Do you know if it's aftermarket or where it came from? Looks like it provides more arm rest for the navigator.
SkyKing Posted March 16, 2009 Author #15 Posted March 16, 2009 It is an after market CORBIN PASSENGER BACKREST. He still has the original backrest that came with the bike. Hope that helps. Mike Hey I noticed your passenger backrest. It's different than mine. Do you know if it's aftermarket or where it came from? Looks like it provides more arm rest for the navigator.
Cougar Posted March 16, 2009 #17 Posted March 16, 2009 I noticed that as well. I would like to look into that more for the little woman! Not sure if the those are arm rest or not. kinda look high but maybe they are not? Jeff
MoRiverRat Posted March 16, 2009 #18 Posted March 16, 2009 Yes those are arm rests. Here are a few pics with my wife using them thru the tail of the dragon.
Cougar Posted March 16, 2009 #19 Posted March 16, 2009 Umm. Chris , How much is that back rest and do you have a direct link to them? Look like I can get it in Tan>? Or so you think that person had it re-covered?
MoRiverRat Posted March 17, 2009 #20 Posted March 17, 2009 Yamaha catalog lists them for $285. But my catalog only shows black. I would check at www.corbin.com - I know you can pick your leather color there. I don't think they had it recovered because of the stitching.
Ponch Posted March 23, 2009 #21 Posted March 23, 2009 We're anxious to hear about it and see some more pics.
