SaltyDawg Posted March 16, 2009 #26 Posted March 16, 2009 If the Mufflers pass your states inspection they must honer it as legal in their state & or city limits. The state of Maryland does not require yearly state safety inspections or stickers showing such, but people from maryland can ride into any state and not get fined for not having a safety inspection. You know you would think so. I highly doubt MB is concerned with honoring other states inspection requirements. If that were the case wouldn't they have to honor their own states inspections and laws? From what I have been able to find South Carolina has "No acoustical criteria" for their inspections. Good observation though.
gradona Posted March 16, 2009 #27 Posted March 16, 2009 I think his excuse for going out of business won't hold water. Here's a cut and paste from the event organizers: No Events Cancelled -- All Outside the City of Myrtle Beach As many of you have heard or received information on the events being cancelled. Not exactly true - The events will take place in the County and surrounding Counties just not inside of the City of Myrtle Beach. The City of Myrtle Beach has begun a media campaign designed to deter the respectable, law abiding motorcycle enthusiast from coming to the area. There are businesses inside the City limits of Myrtle Beach that do support and welcome Motorcycle Enthusiast. The City of Myrtle Beach can't stop you from visiting and supporting the businesses that support Bike Week. Looking forward to seeing everyone again in 2009.
Grey Ghost Posted March 16, 2009 #28 Posted March 16, 2009 If the owner can't add any better than he can spell, that could be a problem to keeping a business profitable.
