midnightventure Posted March 13, 2009 Share #3 Posted March 13, 2009 I have done almost the same thing except my buttons are a little close to the front.
uechi kid Posted March 13, 2009 Share #4 Posted March 13, 2009 Yah, where are the buttons and is this a permanent install? If so, a little how to help please. I'd like to stop fishing for my remote.
Gray Ghost Posted March 14, 2009 Share #5 Posted March 14, 2009 I bought a small key fob model and was going to mount it in a similar fashion, but could not trace the buttons on the circuit board. I hate multi-layer tech sometimes. What did you use for yours?
SteveP Posted March 14, 2009 Share #6 Posted March 14, 2009 Take a look at this thread: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13400 It is a how-to with pictures from when I did mine.
friesman Posted March 14, 2009 Share #7 Posted March 14, 2009 Heres an opener that lets you use your headlights to open your garage door. no trying to find the opener its installed easily in your bike all you do is flash your headlights. http://www.webbikeworld.com/t2/motofx Brian
awsmsrv Posted March 14, 2009 Share #8 Posted March 14, 2009 .... all you do is flash your headlights. http://www.webbikeworld.com/t2/motofx Brian Or your brake lights. I tapped into the brakes with mine.
Gold Rush Posted March 14, 2009 Share #9 Posted March 14, 2009 That little circuit it neat but a bit on the costly side. AutoSwitch makes one a lot less expensive. I have one on both of my bikes and have installed it on several friend's bikes. Got mine from Cyclegadgets.com for $38 delivered to my door.. It comes in a positive or negative trigger model so you can use any source you choose. I use the negative trigger from the brake switch. It's more convenient and you do not have to fiddle with the light switch. The brake lever is much easier to use... Tucked the modified remote and the little circuit under the fairing and it works GREAT !!!
catang5oh Posted March 14, 2009 Author Share #10 Posted March 14, 2009 Well, i bought Chamberlain 2 button and it is actually right under the front of the cover with 1 switch on either side for each door, probably spent 32.00 on the remote and 3.00 on the switches. I will post a how too soon!

Hulk Posted March 16, 2009 Share #12 Posted March 16, 2009 Placed my button under the seat opposite the rear air valve, handy and dry.
