New guy question

Greetings all,

 

I purchased a 1984 Venture a couple of weeks ago. I found this site to do some research on this bike as I knew very little about it. Thanks for the help! I lhad to trailer it from Sioux Falls, SD to my home in Madison, SD (50 miles) as it is WAY too cold to ride in March.

 

My question is, does anyone of you knowledgable peole have an idea where I can get an owner's manual. The guy I bought my bike from did not have one. He did give me a service manual. Does the owner's manual have any info in it that the service manual does not?

 

Looking forward to riding when it warms up.

There are links to a service manual and parts diagrgams. Didn't see an Owner's Manual though.

I got mine off of Ebay.............some folks have the service manual on cd.........Im sure you can find someone here to help you with it............Welcome to the Club............but watch it, its addictive...............

Welcome to the forum, bendtdj. Lots of folks here that know the Venture very well...it is a great source of information. Congrats on the newly acquired bike.

I think I have one. My 84 had an owners manual and I sold the bike. I know I did not sell the manual with the bike, let me look around and I will get back to you. I cannot remember whether i pawned it off on Fleabay or not.
