BigBoyinMS Posted March 12, 2009 #1 Posted March 12, 2009 Not sure what this guys problem is... maybe saw his momma naked with a biker? Or maybe he asked a biker for a date and got his butt kicked? Who knows? http://www.charlestoncitypaper.com/gyrobase/Content?oid=oid:65529
ronhenry4 Posted March 12, 2009 #2 Posted March 12, 2009 His dad took him for a ride when he was young .. he burned his leg on a tail pipe and now he hates bikes lol
84xj1100 Posted March 12, 2009 #3 Posted March 12, 2009 It's guys like him that make your country great. Trust me we have our fair share too. Me thinks he's never had it and he knows bikers get it....
Tom Posted March 12, 2009 #4 Posted March 12, 2009 Perhaps he needs an Invite to our Get Together in Arkansas? In any event there is potential for some kind of disturbance but all in all with the amount of people at alot of these rallies it is more peaceful than concerts, some political rallies and yes even city council meetings. Violence can rear its ugly head anywhere and anytime as we have seen the last few days on the news. I have been to rides or get togethers where there are tourists that are stand offish when they see us but as Debby says,I talk too much so I go over and generally talk to anyone. Most are hesitant and then after a bit they realize we are regular people just enjoying life as they are. The last big rally I went to was in Galveston and there were thousands there..I dont remember any violence,in fact the locals, especially in business, loved the business and the waitresses said the bikers always tipped better than the average joe. Of course everyone knows the media isnt biased....(If that statement is Political or offends ANYONE please delete)
cowpuc Posted March 13, 2009 #5 Posted March 13, 2009 The Sturgis Rally in Sturgis South Dakota is one of the biggest and oldest rallies on the planet.. For 20 years the rally went off without ONE shooting incident even though it is attended by old traditional gangs such as Hells Angels.. I have a hunch that the writer of that poorly researched and down right untrue article even realises that this 20 year record was broken last year by an off duty Police Officer from out of town who belonged to a police biker gang!!! This so called "protector of the people" pulled an illegally carried pistol (it is state law that ONLY SD Police are allowed to carry at the rally) and discharged the weapon inside of a crowded dance hall (my daughter and I had been there the night before).. Came right down to the bottom line and it appears that we "bikers" are the least of the writers concern and that maybe our society has much larger problems!! 'Puc
RSTDRIDER Posted March 13, 2009 #6 Posted March 13, 2009 Where is he when we are standing in the cold making sure kids get toys for christmas? Where's he at when were riding in the rain to deliver warm clothes for homeless people? The guy is a jerk but the world is full of 'em. Wonder if it might be time we start telling them how to live.
ibents Posted March 13, 2009 #7 Posted March 13, 2009 This guy is just a typical small minded reporter who can probably never get his facts straight and only goes for the sensational stuff. Sure there are bad elements that ride bikes, there are also bad elements in all walks of life. How many report on the good things bikers do: Ride for Dad...prostate cancer Ride for Cystic Fibrosis. Ride for Toys for kids 911 Ride Ride to the North Wall And numerous other events supported by bikers. Just my thoughts Ian
91nwl Posted March 13, 2009 #8 Posted March 13, 2009 He's one of those guys who looks just like what he is....a moron.
ToRide1 Posted March 13, 2009 #9 Posted March 13, 2009 There I told him and you can find it posted there I used the same screen name as I do here.
venture1 Posted March 13, 2009 #10 Posted March 13, 2009 He is just envious of all us bikers, he really wishes he was one of us !
davecb Posted March 13, 2009 #11 Posted March 13, 2009 He's just afraid of motorcycles and the people that ride them. He probably looks down on us with disdain, however, I bet a lot of us make more money than he does. That could be it!! He can't afford one and is jealous......
skydoc_17 Posted March 13, 2009 #12 Posted March 13, 2009 Obviously Mr. Moredock has forgotten what it is to be young...AT HEART! Perhaps we could send him a useless Second Gen. cassette player for him to listen to his favorite excerpts of his memoirs on. We could send it collectively from VR.ORG to him. He definitely likes the sound of his own voice! I left a comment, for what it was worth. Earl
RSTDRIDER Posted March 13, 2009 #13 Posted March 13, 2009 Well said skydoc! Respectful and to the point! :clap2:now I think I will drift back to a time in my mind.....nevermind, I rode a harley back then!!
SaltyDawg Posted March 13, 2009 #14 Posted March 13, 2009 All I know is that the City of New Bern is overjoyed with the rally coming. Sure there will be some grumpy folks, but the influx of money into this area is much needed and New Bern is far enough away from any major tourist area to not cause problems on that side. They can only hope that it grows to the likes of previous Myrtle Beach rallies. It may take a few years and I hope that they give it a chance before looking someplace else. Keep in mind that this is only 2 days not 10. There will still be stuff going on in the Myrtle Beach area. BTW contrary to what Horry County claimed their commissioners voted to reduce the amount of vendor permits while raising the price at the same time.
silent67 Posted March 14, 2009 #15 Posted March 14, 2009 That guy is just another Pinko Commy Fagot!!!
Eddie Fulmer Posted March 14, 2009 #16 Posted March 14, 2009 WOW what a dummie. My wife and I are going to Charleston in a couple of months and will be taking the bike. That however makes me not want to go. What a turkey.

That however makes me not want to go. What a turkey. Just remember, Charleston does not allow bikes to be parked in their "Public Parking Garages", go figure.
Sailor Posted March 14, 2009 #18 Posted March 14, 2009 The smaller the brain the greater the ignorance.
Yammer Dan Posted March 14, 2009 #19 Posted March 14, 2009 People like this kept me from enjoying the Human Race for a lot of years. The bad ones are still out there but I've learned where to look for others.
