Anyone in central/southern NH have a good carb synch tool? ...valve shim tool? If I lure you over with lunch some weekend, are you interested in helping me try my hand at checking my new bike's valve clearances and then carbs? Can anyone recommend where they purchase the 2 valve cover gaskets and any needed shims at a good price? I'd like to tackle these jobs myself but don't have a synch tool yet! If you have a spare shim kit, I would purchase the ones needed off you. I know I'm asking alot, but.........:o

thanks!

A Blue 84!! Wish I was up that way. How many miles? The valves don't need much upkeep but sync is good idea. And Sea-Foam it. In the spring I use a whole can to less than 1/3 tank of gas. Put it in run it to get it in carbs good then leave it sit overnight or for a day or two then ride hard til you use up what is left.

Blue is the faster one, right?:cool10:

48k miles, am not sure the valves even need it but.....

I only added what it said on the Seafoam can to the last tankful.

I have the carbtune and have synched my bike a few times. Takes 15 minutes.

I'm about an hour north of you- nice back road trip down there.

Are you familiar with the '84 carbs? just the removal of the side panels to get at the carbs to hook up the Carbtune?
