Eck Posted March 10, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 10, 2009 This caught my eye: Guess there goes any chance of doing away with the tape deck, having FI and an 1800cc. 2009 sales decreases are projected in all model categories, with total Japanese domestic motorcycle demand expected to drop to 498,000 units, down 12.6% from 2008. KiteSquid Posted March 10, 2009 Share #4 Posted March 10, 2009 I think that Yamaha will produce a 3rd gen RSV. They seem to invest money even when the market is bad. it makes good business sense, in the long run.... BUT the bike may not come out in 2010 model year. Condor Posted March 10, 2009 Share #5 Posted March 10, 2009 Interesting stuff... I wonder how Yamaha sales would be effected in street bikes if they produced improved models every two to three years instead of pushing amortizatation beyond reason... Creating new pipelines is also a part of smart business. Trying to sell stale models is not...
