GeorgeS Posted March 16, 2009 #26 Posted March 16, 2009 Well, even if they don't carry it, they should be able to order some for you. My local Independent auto parts, always keep a roll of bulk plug wire on hand. ?? Have you done the Resistance Check of the " Pickup Coils " ??? If not, see service manual.
83VR3711 Posted March 16, 2009 Author #27 Posted March 16, 2009 Yes, I did check the resistance, but the readings did not match the book. All 4 coils had exactly the same reading though.
Venturous Randy Posted March 16, 2009 #28 Posted March 16, 2009 If you have an auto supply place that sells stuff for farm tractors, you can get a wire set cheap that works real good. Just make sure you replace the caps as they have a resistor in them that gets corroded. Also, make sure you have your petcock back open as you will be running out of gas. RandyA
