Our motorcycle ministry helped out with a party at a retirement home a few years ago and 1 older gentleman of about 80 years young said he had never been on a m/c before and asked if someone would take him for a ride............his family said ok and we took him for a 2 mile ride on the back of Wingman's G/W. We decked him out in a vest, do-rag and helmet with intercom..........Jamie said all he kept saying is "This is wonderful" over and over...........His son said he had never seen his father happier............He still talks about it whenever I go there and happen to see him ..........

Old folks can have fun too............:big-grin-emoticon:

I have a picture of my Grandma on the back of one of my first bikes somewhere. She wouldn't go for a ride, but dad said he couldn't believe she even sat on it.

Gave my mom a ride last year over at my cousins, she rode with me once about 30+ years ago..... She's 78 now, and enjoyed her self tremendously! I'd do it anytime if an older person wanted to take a ride!

My wife's mom is 86. We've told her several times that one of these days, I will take her for a ride. She lives many miles from us and the only times we've gotten to see her is at Christmas ... of course, the weather isn't appropriate. She keeps saying that one of these days either she'll come here in the summer or we'll get out there and then she'll go for a ride.

I only hope that opportunity comes along before it's too late.
