utadventure Posted March 7, 2009 #1 Posted March 7, 2009 Don- If you think this is too political or religious in nature. Please delete it. Dave I received an email from my sister in IL. this morning about the NBC poll. The subject matter is whether the phase "In God We Trust" should remain on US currency. I encourage all to vote at: www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10103521/ Dave
ToRide1 Posted March 7, 2009 #2 Posted March 7, 2009 I'm not so sure it was one of the thing our founders intended, but the new $1 dollar coin is the first U.S. Minted Coin that does not have the words LIBERTY on it when struck. One of our founding Statesmen said its a reminder that what you hold in your hand is one of your Liberty's keep it if you can.

CrazyHorse Posted March 9, 2009 #6 Posted March 9, 2009 I think the newest coins are going to have "In God we trust" back on. If read the mint website.

FozzyUSN Posted March 10, 2009 #8 Posted March 10, 2009 I encourage all to vote at: www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10103521/ Dave For what it's worth, I voted! I'm real happy about the status also.
Richb Posted March 10, 2009 #9 Posted March 10, 2009 (edited) Doesn't matter to me. I like to think my maker doesn't worry about referincing Him/Her on coins, buildings, etc. but rather, am I referencing Him/Her in my heart and in my actions. BTW, I appreciate that what can be a touchy subject, is approached on this forum with respect for one another's beliefs. This is a good group of folks. Edited March 11, 2009 by Richb
