kenw Posted March 5, 2009 #1 Posted March 5, 2009 I was told that the hitch will add about 6" to the lencth of the toungue Did anybody cut it back or is longer better? Also, Am I opening a can of worms asking it this way?
buddy Posted March 5, 2009 #2 Posted March 5, 2009 I will be getting the Swivel hitch to add to my trailer before the Rally in Aug. as for the length of your tongue I length mine out another 5" and it helped mine a whole lot as for running down the HWY but mine is home made Harbor Freight trailer so each trailer may be different?. gunboat Posted March 5, 2009 #3 Posted March 5, 2009 hi ken i installed a swivel hitch on my trailer last year before going to the '08 int. rally. i left it as it was, it does stick out there a ways. had no issuses with it, pulled it 4,238 miles round trip. i would just leave it the way it is but that is my 2 cents. best reguards don c.
Condor Posted March 5, 2009 #4 Posted March 5, 2009 Seems like with every trailer I've ever owned... Longer is better... And size does count.
