fairing pins

Somebody "pre-crash" posted a fix for pins broken off of fairing. I've searched, cant find it, hope its not lost. If memory serves it was a metal grease nipple gizmo........yikes......help..:canada:

The best fix I have found is Industrial Strength Velcro. Clean both surfaces and put the Velcro on and it works great.

I still had the broken pins stuck in the rubber holder. I abs glued them and then drilled thru them and put the machine screw thru it and tied into a small nut on the bottom that was loctited.

Stud...I completely remove the old nipple from the base..I then drill the appropriate sized hole in the base and install a 5mm allen head screw that I nut on both sides of the base...The allen head is about the same size as the plastic nipple head and fits nicely in the rubber grommet....
