Freebird Posted April 19, 2010 Author #7 Posted April 19, 2010 Name of Restaurant Good Asian Buffet Street Address 6999 Miller Lane City Dayton State or Province OH Website (Optional) - Quality of Food Great Quality of Service Great Biker Friendly? Yes Kind of Food? (Mexican, Chinese, etc.) Chinese Alcohol Served? No Additional Comments OK folks, I'm not a huge fan of Chinese buffets and in fact, I only eat Chinese food maybe 3 or 4 times a year but this place is the exception. I stay in Dayton a couple of times a year and because this place is almost right next door to my usual hotel there, I decided to try it a year or so ago. Since that first time, I always eat here at least once when in that area. Huge buffet and they are busy enough that the food is always fresh. Great selection of food from the traditional Chinese selections to crab legs, fried frog legs, several type of fish, bbq ribs, several kinds of shrimp and etc. Not only is the selection great and the food good and fresh but the price is pretty darn reasonable. I don't remember exactly but the dinner buffet is somewhere around $10.00. It's worth trying if you are in the Dayton area. Miller lane runs parallel to Interstate 75 just south of the 70/75 interchange.
Mel Posted May 24, 2012 #8 Posted May 24, 2012 Name of Restaurant Wilson's Hamburger Shop Street Address 600 South Main Street City Findlay State or Province OH Website (Optional) - Quality of Food Great Quality of Service Good Biker Friendly? Yes Kind of Food? (Mexican, Chinese, etc.) American Alcohol Served? No Additional Comments This hamburger shop was the model for Dave Thomas to start Wendy's! It has been privately owned and operated since (I forget), well a long time. Serves inside and through a drive-up window. Outstanding burgers, shakes, and home-made pies. It is a local icon, lots of curmudgeons (just learned that one) gather for coffee and a chance to bad-mouth every one/every thing from local politics to solving the world's problems. If you are passing by Findlay, Ohio (probably on I-75) it is well worth your time to stop in and have a burger and shake. Sandwiches are made to order, not cooked and warmed until served. I say it is motorcycle friendly because I have never been turned away or bad-mouthed. A truly unique burger joint.
