(Parking, Trusted Location, Etc.) Yes Kind of Food? (Mexican, Chinese, etc.) American Alcohol Served? Yes Additional Comments We have never been disappointed with this place! The food is excellent, any choice is a good one! Their prices are in line with most places and worth the cost. We love to take our guests here when they visit. It's right around the corner from Bongo Non's place and almost directly across the street from Pioneer Motorsports, which offers a 10% discount on parts for Venturerider members. Ask Freebird, I'm sure he will agree this is a nice place to stop... Edited April 7, 2016 by bongobobny No longer in business
PBJ Posted March 6, 2009 #3 Posted March 6, 2009 Name of Restaurant The Dinosaur Bar-B-Q Street Address 99 Court St. City Rochester State or Province NY Website (Optional) - Quality of Food Great Quality of Service Good Biker Friendly? (Parking, Trusted Location, Etc.) Yes Kind of Food? (Mexican, Chinese, etc.) Great American Bar-B-Q Alcohol Served? Yes Additional Comments The Dinosaur is more than just Biker friendly, the two brothers that own the two locations in Rochester and Syracuse both ride. The Rochester resterant though is in the picturesque old Lehigh Valley Railroad station located on Court st. in downtown Rochester. The station overlooks the Genesee river and in the summertime there is seating outside and and motorcycle only parking in the court yard parking lot on the resturant premisie. The food is slow smoked and everything from the briskets to the steaks to the chiken is melt in your mouth good ! Don't forget the pulled pork! The best bargain on the menu is the couples combo sampler that gives you a little of everything plus three sides and corn bread. Nothing can beat a great saturday night ride and some of the best Bar-B-Que in New York State. if youare in the Rochester New York area its a MUST!
BIG TOM Posted March 15, 2009 #4 Posted March 15, 2009 Name of Restaurant D AND R RESTAURANT Street Address 63 Lake St...Rt 19 City Le Roy State or Province NY Website (Optional) www.dandrdepot.com Quality of Food Fantastic Quality of Service Great Biker Friendly? (Parking, Trusted Location, Etc.) Yes Kind of Food? (Mexican, Chinese, etc.) comfort food Alcohol Served? Yes Additional Comments Dand R Depot is located on Rt 19.. 4 miles south of the New York state thruway between the cities of Rochester and Batavia...or if you prefer one half mile north of rt.5 again on Rt 19..Nancy, the sweet 70 something owner is a lovely woman who enjoys seeing bikers at the restaurant..She will tell you how she likes to watch the Sunday Bluehair crowds faces when we arrive on our bikes ...She and her late husband were bikers at one time..She will tell you how she would go to church on the back of a BSA in high heels...but enough of that..The food is absolutely wonderful..lunches are around 7.00 dollars and dinners around 15.00....You must experience the little restaurant for yourself..If you call ahead, she will even set up tables under a canopy for your group...but that takes the fun out of watching the church crowd...this is a small restaurant with seating for only about 35 or 40...best home made hamburgers and chicken pot pie in the world..Portions are HUGE.. difficult to finish a burger or a wrap ....Dessert is heavenly....When asked if I could write this review, she asked was estatic with the thought of having more bikers around to liven things up...Oh yea, the service is wonderful and it is a FUN place to visit with all of its train and German decor..This is a winner..
PBJ Posted August 5, 2009 #5 Posted August 5, 2009 Name of Restaurant Rosalie's Street Address Rt.5&20 City Skeneatales State or Province NY Website (Optional) - Quality of Food Fantastic Quality of Service Fantastic Biker Friendly? (Parking, Trusted Location, Etc.) Yes Kind of Food? (Mexican, Chinese, etc.) Italian Alcohol Served? Yes Additional Comments Rosalies is considered one of the BEST Italian resturants in the Central New York area. Located in Rt.5&20 just west of the beautiful Village of Skeneatales its modest building hides a delight of fine Italian foods. The bread alone, baked on the premises is fantastic and many nights they'll give you a loaf to take home with you. Dress code is casual but the atmosphere is festive and lively with a beautiful tuscon decor. You are served by two waiters that keep you supplied with wine , bread and whatever else you desire. Rosalies prices are a bit hit and a dinner for two with drinks can run to about $75.00. But the food is so good you'll gladly pay the price. To get there take the New York State Thruway to the Auburn exit ( 40) and head south to Rt.5 & 20 then turn left and head east about 8 miles. Its just before you enter the Village. If your in Central N.Y. and you crave great Italian food Rosalie's is a must.
