Additional Comments We just stumbled upon this place when we were out there this year for the Asheville gathering. Food was good the waitstaff was great (they put up with us well). Parking lot is paved there's a lot in the back and some spots up front.

Additional Comments Parking can be a bit of a pain depending on when you go and how crowded they are. It is on a mountain so it may be tricky depending on where you get to park. homemade soups, salads, delectable sandwiches, house smoked meats and trout, desserts. imported beers and wines.

Additional Comments Great place to stop and take a break when riding the skyway or the dragon. Hours a little weird 11:00am to 2:30pm for lunch close and regroup then open again at 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Sit down and talk to Charlie awesome guy knows the area well.

Additional Comments The waitstaff are very friendly and they can go right along with our members. Not sure if they sell beer I didn't look on the menu for that. The food was great the service was great and quick. Definitely somewhere I'd go back to.

Additional Comments Fantastic restaurant on the Intracoastal Waterway(ICW), with a water view. We've never had less that wonderful service and food. Free ICW dockage is available when visiting by water. (Water tends to be a bit shallow at low tide.)

Additional Comments When you walk in you get your choice of hibachi or regular dining. Food is excellent and authentic. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful with the menu. Prices are great for the quality and amount of food you get, expect to spend at least $20 on main course more if you add appetizers and such. They do sell alcohol and have a bar in the restaurant. It's easy to find it's in the Walmart shopping center in Elizabeth City next to the mattress discounters, right off 17 by-pass. If you're in the area I'd highly recommend stopping. Once you walk through the doors you forget you're in a shopping center.

First of all... CASH ONLY! There is an ATM.

Second... Get a reservation during normal season.

 

Shatley serves mostly family style. That means they put the bowls of food on the table and you eat all you want. Normally like chicken and ham, real red eye gravy (with coffee), green bean, yams, apples, corn, mashed taters and several more.

 

You can order off the menu but....no. (IMHO)

 

Great place to ride to with a group, eat, fellowship and ride on.

 

I go there several times a season. I enjoy it.

 

Make sure you call if close to the closing dates.

I think they have great trout in the restaurant and excellent portabello mushroom sandwiches at the terrace.

 

Great views. Very biker friendly and even has bunkhouses to stay in.

 

This is a few hundred feet from the Blue Ridge Parkway and from Hwy 226 so plan ahead on good motorcycle days or be ready to have a wait.

 

Well worth it in my opinion.

Additional Comments There are actually two locations the one listed here is near the KOA that we stay at. I really enjoyed the food. As far as alcohol they have an extensive list of wine and plenty of mixed drinks. Actually lots of martini's to choose from. This is in a small shopping center and parking is great. The atmosphere is wonderful they do have some outside seating. I'm definitely going back. Prices aren't bad, with appetizer, dessert and two meals we paid around $60. If you like greek or italian food this is the place to go. The other location is on the south end of town. ( 2nd location: 75 Long Shoals Rd)

Additional Comments Food is good, nothing fancy. Dessert and ice cream are good. One thing not to get is the chocolate coke. I thought it sounded good, waitress said not to get it. She told me it was a disappointment. Other then that nothing is bad, they have a juke box and a dance floor. Also a gift shop with all sorts of stuff in it. Plus an awesome Coke collectibles display everywhere in the shop. You can sit at a table or at the soda fountain. If you're at the outer banks head over and enjoy. Prices are reasonable parking is good all paved with friendly service.

Additional Comments There are parking lots at the waterfront in Manteo also on the street parking. This is all down at the waterfront. Food was good eating inside and outside. We were inside since it was really hot. The menu is on the site as well as a list of the beers they brew. They also had corolla gold which is brewed at the weeping radish. Not super fancy they do make their own salsa that they serve with chips as a side. Best not to go when the crowds are there, we went in before the masses showed up. But if you want a decent place on Roanoke head over.

Additional Comments We went here with Annie and Alan and the food was good. Kind of a mix of foods they serve Beer in bottles, coke products, and of course sweet tea/unsweetened tea. Shares a building with a Bar called Turners High Moon Bar. Just in case you see that sign and not the burger place.
