hairman Posted February 25, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 25, 2009 I bought a used carbtune II on ebay and when I received it I only got 2 tubes in it instead of four. The picture in the manual that I got with it shows 4 and the pictures I have seen on here show 4. I guess I need four or does someone know something else about these? I'm afraid I have gotten ripped off because there is a place for 4 tubes in this one that I received. thanks hairman
Vance Posted February 25, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 25, 2009 Carbtune makes two models, a 2 column and a 4 column instrument. Looks like you bought a 2 column Carbtune.
hairman Posted February 25, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted February 25, 2009 He described in his description that it was a 4 column. Will this 2 column do the job or not? thanks hairman
Squeeze Posted February 25, 2009 Share #4 Posted February 25, 2009 He described in his description that it was a 4 column. Will this 2 column do the job or not? thanks hairman Nope, you won't get a decent Job done with only a two Column Set
Squidley Posted February 25, 2009 Share #5 Posted February 25, 2009 As much as you might like to throttle him, talk nice and see if he'll take it back. If it gets ugly and it's a blatant mis representation then I would contact ebay and let them know. Do you have a listing of the auction that you can post here for us to see? Freebird Posted February 25, 2009 Share #6 Posted February 25, 2009 I agree. Talk to him first but if that doesn't work, file a complaint. If you used PayPal, you can file a dispute with them over the item not being as described and YES...if he described it as a four column and you got a two column, you got ripped off. Condor Posted February 25, 2009 Share #8 Posted February 25, 2009 In his response to one of the questions he states it's a 4, but the picture clearly shows a two, and he does state in the discription that it's for two carbs only. MORGAN CARB TUNE Going to be iffy.....

Condor Posted February 25, 2009 Share #10 Posted February 25, 2009 I agree, gonna be iffy, worst case sell it back on ebay and get the right one With the price dropping to $80US becasue of the stronger dollar on the world market, it doesn't make sense not to buy direct. 1joeranger Posted February 26, 2009 Share #13 Posted February 26, 2009 Only thing keep me from buying it on ebay was I didn't have the money in the bank till after the weekend. By then you had bought it. Thank you! Some good did come from this! Since "missing out" I have purchased the Carbtune 2 direct and except for not having the right size screwdriver the experience was as all the other have described, easy and almost a no brainer! Yours will be to after you recover from the current speed bump! Have you considered contacting Carbtune? They might be willing to help out! Anyhow as a fellow ebayer I feel your pain!
