royalstarjac Posted February 18, 2009 #3 Posted February 18, 2009 In practice you could have the scanner in one location and the printer in another location(the other side of the world). That would save on time and shipping!

KiteSquid Posted February 18, 2009 #7 Posted February 18, 2009 I would LOVE to play with that setup!!!!!! How about scanning some parts, say a RSV engine to start with, and scaling it down to 1/12 scale and machining it.... COOL!!!!! but VERY expensive...
Lone Eagle Posted February 19, 2009 #8 Posted February 19, 2009 Hey, Condor - start sending your stuff down there - bud - looks like an inexpensive way to get your (6) bikes back on the road again - heehee.

hig4s Posted February 19, 2009 #10 Posted February 19, 2009 I would LOVE to play with that setup!!!!!! How about scanning some parts, say a RSV engine to start with, and scaling it down to 1/12 scale and machining it.... COOL!!!!! but VERY expensive... Scaling, how so very cool. The possibilities are unlimited. How about a 1/2 scale RSV engine in a V-star 650 frame. How about a 1/20 scale replica of a Mustang P38 engine for a scale airplane project. How about a, well I could go on for days.
