hkd51 Posted February 18, 2009 #1 Posted February 18, 2009 This might be of interest to 1st gens and 2nd gens with center stands. Also check out the driving lights on this bike. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHeglNS6Ze4]YouTube - Goldwing Park-n-Move[/ame] Harry
Crash Posted February 18, 2009 #4 Posted February 18, 2009 Neat way to move your scoot! And yes NICE lights.
Rottdoglover Posted February 18, 2009 #5 Posted February 18, 2009 Better have a CLEAN floor when pushing sideways. I went and tried this with one of my car wheel dollies. Worked OK but little hard to get centerstand down due to height of dollie. Easy build for a DIYer.
dlhoulton Posted February 18, 2009 #6 Posted February 18, 2009 Has anyone tried to adapt something like this to Carbon_one's free standing kit? I like the idea of being able to move and turn on a dime!! I have Carbon_one's free standing lift adapter and a sears motorcycle/atv jack but would like more freedom in moving the bike around. Seems the sears jack/lift is limited in movement/turning!! Dennis
Venturous Randy Posted February 18, 2009 #7 Posted February 18, 2009 My question is, how hard is it to get off the dolly by putting the center stand down? My bike already spins around very easy when on the center stand because I have a steel wheel on the side of the right leg foot. RandyA
Ponch Posted February 18, 2009 #8 Posted February 18, 2009 (edited) My question is, how hard is it to get off the dolly by putting the center stand down? My thoughts as well. I wonder if it comes off the stand as easy? The assembly instructions say to lock two of the casters before dismounting. http://www.legalspeeding.com/docs/PnM_Assembly_Guide_22.pdf Edited February 18, 2009 by Ponch found intructions

I did not realize the coasters locked. RandyA
Hart Posted February 18, 2009 #10 Posted February 18, 2009 Nice tool for the bad guys, they won't need to bring bolt cutters anymore. Slip it under your bike and roll it away.
5bikes Posted February 18, 2009 #11 Posted February 18, 2009 I have carpeting in the garage to stay off the cold dirty floor. It is just more "stuff" (George Carlin) in the garage. I can move a bike by getting on it. It's another expense. Probably harder to get on the center stand, harder to get off. Floor must be perfectly flat. The wheels have to lubricated periodically or they it will be hard to move. I'll bet you can think of more reasons like "if you ever dumped the bike because of it you'll never use it again". Remember 1/2 of our purchases in a year are " Why did I buy that?"
