Canuck Posted February 18, 2009 #1 Posted February 18, 2009 So just purchased a new Aluma MCT and was wondering if anyone could could tell me where to get a swivell hitch to fit it. I,ll need to get a spare, which I can do locally but not sure where to get the swivell hitch and wiring harness. Any help would be appreciated.

sarges46 Posted February 18, 2009 #4 Posted February 18, 2009 (edited) NeoSho trailers sell a very reasonable swivel hitch for the trailer. Most folks use the the hoppy wiring harness and the instructions for wiring are in the tech section. http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=503 Edited February 18, 2009 by sarges46 Added a link
Condor Posted February 18, 2009 #5 Posted February 18, 2009 You can get the hitch from Neosho Fiberglass for $70 bucks. Crazy website, but if you poke around there's a pic on there somewhere. It's what I put on my PiggyBacker.
Canuck Posted February 20, 2009 Author #6 Posted February 20, 2009 Thanks for the help guys. Have a hitch coming locally and will look into the Noesho swivell. Haven,t decided on wiring yet but it,s snowing here again so no rush. I,ll try to post a picture of the trailer after it comes back from the welding shop, had to make a small mod.
BradT Posted February 20, 2009 #7 Posted February 20, 2009 . Haven,t decided on wiring yet but it,s snowing here again so no rush. The modulite was easy to install and I found them at the Travel Trailer company fairly cheap. Brad
Aimhigh Posted February 20, 2009 #8 Posted February 20, 2009 Went to the trailer site...nice looking...what do they go for?

Canuck Posted February 20, 2009 Author #12 Posted February 20, 2009 Aimhigh, I payed 2381.00 ca for the one I bought which was the small one(13.4 cu in). but that,s in Canada and I,ll bet you can do better in the US. Didn,t come with a spare tire but that was 75.00 at Canadian Tire. Scared the heck out of me when the boss saw it and said I can get alot of stuff in there. So it,s at the welding shop getting fixed.

Canuck Posted February 21, 2009 Author #14 Posted February 21, 2009 Well,,, fixing it means they are going to remove a 5 inch piece all the way around the trailer just under the lid and then put the lid back on and yes they(welding shop) think i,m crazy but it means she can,t bring a sink, couch and family pet along. There is still alot of room inside for the spare tire and 2 or 3 bags and that should be enough since she has to stay in motel rooms anyway. The one thing that concerned me with the trailer was the high side profile in a side wind so lowering it should cut down on that(I HOPE). Work was slow and I was bored, so that,s where these ideas come from. Gotta quit thinking so much.
friesman Posted February 21, 2009 #15 Posted February 21, 2009 well, you had better bring out to the rally in Nelson BC in July so we can all see how good it looks with the mods and so you can test how it runs. Brian
Canuck Posted February 21, 2009 Author #16 Posted February 21, 2009 Freisman, I would like very much to make it, been following that thread closely but just can,t commit yet. That is some very nice riding and scenery in that area. We went through BC (Fernie) last summer trying to get to Fairmont but got turned around by a forest fire half way there. All was not lost because we went south through the US and our dollar was a par then(the good old days).

If you decide to go, just let us know when you book your hotel. Yeah, the CDN dollar was great last summer when I was on vacation too, it sucks right now for anyone wanting to go south for a vacation. Brian
