sarges46 Posted March 23, 2009 #28 Posted March 23, 2009 We have been home for over an hour now from our visit. Took this long to wet vac the basement as we had water coming in the window well. It rained like the dickens here and with things still frozen the water had no where to go! Pete is doing well. Talks as good as ever, eats like no tomorrow. Normal worries about how much he will get back on his left side. But he was complaining of pain in his left arm....to me thats a good thing. Pain means feeling and that has to be good. He does have work to do make no mistake, but if anyone is up to it, it is Pete. I must say though...when we walked in unannounced we caught him looking at the harley pamphlet...you know the one with the trike they make. Thats a nice rig! He thanks everyone for the thoughts. He should be signing on himself, perhaps as early as tomorrow.

BJB Posted March 24, 2009 #32 Posted March 24, 2009 (edited) Pete, You were asking about trike kits. Below is a link to the one Bigbob and I were talking about. sarges46 Posted April 8, 2009 #33 Posted April 8, 2009 I spoke with Pete tonight on the phone. He is doing well and the good news is he is heading home thursday. He is very happy about that. At least he can be bored silly at home....he does have a nicer view there. He is coming along...getting feeling back in his arm and leg. Hobbles about but still doesnt have full control. He also asked me to register him and Hazel for Arkansas...I have done so. He can pay some day or we will just show up at their place and eat them outta house and home....he makes great elk sausage! It is great that a few of unlucky members are starting to come around. Prayers and the knowledge of lots of support sure work wonders.
mother Posted April 8, 2009 #34 Posted April 8, 2009 that is great news that he is progressing well and will be coming home. Pete, we are glad to hear that he will be making it to the international meet, nothing is going to stop you buddy, that is the attitude to have. last summer i seen many trikes out there, and there are some sweet looking rides, reverse and everything. last year while riding with my buddy Gord and his wife, we stopped at the Oxeyoke inn which is in PA and there were a group of about 30 trikes having lunch there. we were the only 2 wheeler in the parking lot. wings, ventures, HD's, so there is lots to pick from. see you down the road, life is a venture. Scott

BJB Posted April 10, 2009 #37 Posted April 10, 2009 Just to let everyone know Pete is home. I just got off the phone talking to him. He has only been home an hour or so and it probably was a long day. He sounds good and seems to be in good spirits. Hopefully I can get out to see him for a short visit next week.
