pegscraper Posted February 13, 2009 #2 Posted February 13, 2009 Man I wish I could. Bike looks good. Fantastic price. I like the high contrast two tone color schemes. Not sure why though.
FreezyRider Posted February 13, 2009 #3 Posted February 13, 2009 Man I wish I could. Bike looks good. Fantastic price. I like the high contrast two tone color schemes. Not sure why though. I agree, Lynn. I've always be mesmerized by the 2003 Strawberry/Sand color scheme. If I wasn't so worried about the future economic situation I think I'd have to pull the trigger on this one. Joe
KiteSquid Posted February 13, 2009 #4 Posted February 13, 2009 Too bad I already have a RSV and no free cash, or I'd be on that bike faster than a tick on a hound dog. I hope your fiduciary situation straightens its self out soon.
Skid Posted February 13, 2009 #5 Posted February 13, 2009 I got permission to buy a Second Gen, just wish it was a little later in the year. I need to talk to my wife....

Guest Saddletramp Posted February 14, 2009 #9 Posted February 14, 2009 A buddy of mine totalled an 03 in Columbus last summer. He misses it although he drove out of the dealer's with a new 08. That is the prettiest color combo that Yamaha has put out in my opinion!!!!
BoomerCPO Posted February 14, 2009 #10 Posted February 14, 2009 Joe I really hope things get better for you soon. Having to give up a bike that beautiful is just pouring salt into the wound. Prayers and good thoughts being sent your way for a quick and better turn around for you. Boomer
oldandcrotchety Posted February 14, 2009 #11 Posted February 14, 2009 Oh, now I get it. You still have your motorcycle for sale. I read the post title and thought you had a still for sale. I thought I had seen some nice stills in my time, but I just had to see one that was worth that much money. I mean, heck, here in this part of Arkansas you can buy a real nice still for $1,000.00 or less....
loehring Posted February 14, 2009 #12 Posted February 14, 2009 I hope things get better as well. My wife has been out of work for months. We can get by on my salary but not by much. I know a lot of people are hurting right now.
star4772 Posted February 15, 2009 Author #13 Posted February 15, 2009 Thanks for all the comments from everyone. But I still am out of work and so far nothing lined up so for now the bike must go.:crying: Joe

georgew48 Posted February 15, 2009 #16 Posted February 15, 2009 Where is Rockwood. The classified search says thye bike id 25 miles from me but I have never heard of Rockwood. Have some friends that might be interested. I am in Washington Court House, Ohio.
GG54172 Posted February 15, 2009 #17 Posted February 15, 2009 Rockwood is south of Detroit by Flat Rock and Gibraltar http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=rockwood+MI&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=39.099308,70.664062&ie=UTF8&ll=42.066626,-83.243408&spn=0.286984,0.552063&z=11&iwloc=addr
GG54172 Posted February 15, 2009 #18 Posted February 15, 2009 Joe, I know I expressed interest in your bike, but I ended up buying a different bike this weekend. No doubt that you are asking a fair price, but your bike was still out of my price range. I'd really suggest eBay as 2nd Gens are pulling decent prices right now. Prices will go up the first or second week of March. I'd be willing to handle the eBay listing for you for free if you are unfamilar. You would just have to pay the $35 listing fee and a $35 sellers fee when the bike sells. I have 100% feedback and I have handled quite a few high dollar eBay auctions before. Otherwise, Good luck with the sale.
