DragonRider Posted February 10, 2009 #8 Posted February 10, 2009 You have joined the best group of m/c riders around, and just in time for all the events for 2009, so mark your calendar for Maintainence Day at Freebirds, West Virginia Skid In at Skids place, Tail of the Dragon at Vogel State Park in Ga, which is by far the best since I host it..., and cant forget the International Rally hosted by Snarley Bill. Those are just a few of the biggies.....plenty of meet and eats going on all the time so welcome and get ready to put some faces with names and plenty of smiles from all those miles you will be riding......... There are plenty of other smaller gatherings and meets and eats going on just keep your eye on the site for all the info.
bongobobny Posted February 10, 2009 #9 Posted February 10, 2009 Contrary to popular belief, you don't HAVE to be crazy to be a member, but it sure helps!! Welcome aboard!
Yammer Dan Posted February 10, 2009 #10 Posted February 10, 2009 With this bunch you will have no vacation time left over to worry about!!
Ponch Posted February 10, 2009 #11 Posted February 10, 2009 Welcome to the forum. There's lots of info and friendship here. Come to a gathering and you'll see you have a new family. Ponch
eazyduzzit Posted February 10, 2009 #12 Posted February 10, 2009 Welcome! I'm the owner of an '05 RSTD too.
Ozark Posted February 10, 2009 #13 Posted February 10, 2009 Welcome aboard. Jump in and have some fun with a bunch of wackos. Lots of friendly banter and information. Don't let anyone scare you, most of the 2nd gen owners are harmless and the 1st gen owners are very nice people who will protect you if needed.
jburrell Posted February 10, 2009 #14 Posted February 10, 2009 Well you need to follow the rules!!! We want to see your ride man. Post some pictures. Tell us about yourself! Where are you located. How much experience you got at fixin things etc LOL We can always use another edumccaated rider around here. Get ready to meet a lot of new people. Check out the National Meeting coming up in August. See the HUB thing in the top right corner. That's our upcoming National Meeting where we get together, eat, tell lies, eat some more, take rides, tell some more lies, eat some more, tell some more lies.....well you get the idea. Look for "Meet n Eats" in your area and you will get to meet others from this site in your area. Welcome aboard and enjoy you ride. jb
ibents Posted February 10, 2009 #15 Posted February 10, 2009 (edited) Welcome Al, As was already mentioned, you don't have to be crazy to come to this site but it sure does help, you'll find that it becomes quite addictive. So jump in with both feet and have some fun. Don't let the 1st Geners give you any b-s about how much better or faster their bikes are, its just a rumor. Ian Edited February 10, 2009 by ibents
texasrices Posted February 10, 2009 #16 Posted February 10, 2009 Welcome aboard Al You have just become a member of a group that is the hungriest bunch of people I have ever been associated with. Just remember.... We must see pics..... There is no such thing as a dumb question...... The new guy has to send all the members $10.00 in cash (haha). Just one last thing....are you hungry yet???
BJB Posted February 10, 2009 #17 Posted February 10, 2009 Hey Al Nice to see you made it to this site! I still have my '89 but am dealing on a couple of others at the moment. Hope to get in a ride with you this year. I probably will be heading your way at least once for sure. Hope we can hook up.
Shot Posted February 10, 2009 #19 Posted February 10, 2009 I'm relatively new (Dec-08) but I can tell you from my limited experience that you will enjoy and learn a bunch about bikes and good people all across Canada and USA. I've been to Alberta providence a number of times; beatiful place.
