Here is a website put tougher by a woman that has the right idea! Its all about Products that are 100% made in the USA and this is something we should all be concerned about as all of our industrial & manufacturing base has been moved out of the country. If you have a business or know someone that does you should show them this web page.

That’s a great site.

Some great brand names on that list, just reading them gives me a good old nostalgic feeling! ... I still have my first Estwing hammer that I bought as a teen.

We will survive these challenging times and be better people for having done so!

I don't find it to be particularly strange. Yes, I ride a Japanese motorcycle. I rode a Harley just prior to the RSV. I liked the Harley also. I wanted a new bike, took a lot of things into consideration and ended up buying the RSV. I wish it were USA made but some other factors overcame that issue. Same as with anything I purchase. I appreciate knowing where I can buy USA made products and the fact that they are made in the USA carries quiet a bit of weight. It is not the ONLY determining factor though.

While I appreciate the list provided I have to wonder just how many folks even take the time to see where stuff is made before they buy it.

Boomer.........who rides a Japanese bike that does not mark its territory like a famous American made bike does.

I have to agree with Freebird once again. Although my point is a little more selfish. My company sells about 60% of its product overseas, more than 80% overseas for my division. It would be a shame if they stopped buying our stuff because we wouldn't buy theirs. Free trade is a tide that raises all boats. It would really get bad if they stopped buying our debt.

Aside from that, the biggest chunk of money made on a product these days is from sales and distribution. Most of that stays right here in the good ol USA for stuff we buy here.

I own four American brand cars, and the other two are foriegn brands built in the USA. My Yamahawg is the only vehicle I own that is made completely off shore.

On a site dedicated to JAPANESE motorcycles.....

Don't think they list bikes on there, I my self won't own a harley because, one they are way over priced and two they just don't last or very few can make it past 100,000. miles.

Just remember even though the product is "MADE IN THE USA" doesn't mean every part in it was made in the USA. In fact even an American car is mostly products of another country especially steel. So I still shop quality and cost.

my gold wing was made in ohio. what really amazed me the quality is the best i have ever seen. a harley has alot of foreign parts. like the shocks ,forks, injection, electronics, and no telling what else. my ford ranger is basically a mazda. nothins sacred anymore. you have to do what you can afford to do. i have mitutoya digital micrometers. in my work nothing else will do they are the best. i have no choice with the tolerances we hold. i would probably be out of a job if i used my starrett mikes 100%. scrap parts are not tolerated. bill :)

There is no hammer in the world that compares to the great Estwing hammer! I have several, including a hatchet, that I obtained some 35 years ago, and all are still nothing short of amazing! I've built restaurants, recording studios, trade show exhibits, a few custom homes, furniture, cabinetry, etc., with these fine tools. Next time you go to buy such an implement, look for an Estwing. You'll be real glad you did!

I dont know what happened, but when I entered this site and was viewing the tools section, camping tools, my computer shut down saying it did to prevent further damage.

Maybe it was just at my end......anyone else experiance this?
