Guest vman2 Posted February 9, 2009 #1 Posted February 9, 2009 I am currently looking to get a new shock for my bike and am wondering if anyone who just converted to trike would have a shock up for sale? would appreciate any response.
BoomerCPO Posted February 9, 2009 #2 Posted February 9, 2009 If the day comes that the rear shock on my Venture goes south the last thing I would do is replace it with another OEM shock............. Boomer......who's skinny butt will never cause a rear shock to blow.

As far as I know those who convert to trikes still use the factories rear shock, usually in conjunction with other shocks or air bags. At least that is the case with my Tri-Wing trike conversion. GunnyButch Posted February 9, 2009 #5 Posted February 9, 2009 The Hannigan conversions don't use the OEM shock, they use progressive suspension IAS shocks. As far as OEM reliability goes the first 2 or 3 years had issues but the later ones seem to be pretty good. My 02 was replaced in 04 and worked perfect since.
georgew48 Posted February 9, 2009 #6 Posted February 9, 2009 I may be able to help you. I take my RSTD in tomorrow for the Hannigan conversion. It may be a couple of weeks before I get it back though. If you still need it ina couple of weeks, let me know and we will work something out.
