The hubby and I usually start riding when the temp's hit 35-40 degrees. Forecast say's 41 for today through next Tues, but with this much snow, I doubt it will feel like that going 60 mph. Problem is, we've got a long driveway and a lot of snow. If we could just get the bike down to the road, we'd be fine!

At least the blood's starting to pump again just thinking about riding again. I don't know about you...but I've been in a schlump since last November. It's been a long winter and it's time to get back on again and soon!

Deb, this has been the longest week for me. It has been Iowa temps here in east Tennessee for a while now. It is supposed to be 60 tomorrow and Sunday and be in the mid 60's for some of next week. I am so anxious for some warmer weather I can not stand it.

Good luck on getting around the snow.

Oh, you could get out your video camera and video your husband getting the bike down your driveway, He may end up on Funniest Home Videos and you could win some money.:smile5:

60 would feel like a heat wave!!!

I've been sittin' here tryin' to figure out a way to get it down there without having to load it up on the trailer. (The trailer's under a couple feet of snow right now)

Gary loves a challenge so maybe he can come up with an idea. Got my snowpants and eskimo outfit ready....just waiting!:dancefool:

Everytime I think Spring is about to arrive (50+ yesterday), the weatherman pushes it back and orders more snow (for the next week or so).

Like you, I live down a long driveway (100 yards of gravel) but the snow was almost all melted off and it was starting to dry out. But now...:bawling::bawling::bawling:

Someone take a good long ride for me please!!

My thoughts would be to get a couple of 4X8 sheets of plywood and just keep putting one in front of the other until you are at the end of your driveway.:smile5:

Guess who would be the one moving the planks and who would be the one sitting on the Venture, with a big smile on his face while the wifey moves them?:scratchchin:

Good point.... but the question too is "Who's in the passenger seat enjoying the view as the driver humps it to get such passenger to her desired location to stuff her piehole..............

Boomer.....who knows that somehow he's gonna catch hell for posting this.

Hell isn't even close to what your going to catch, buddy. :moon:

To begin with.....the wifey doesn't need a passenger seat as she has a sweet ride of her own.

Next, it's the wifey who makes sure all chrome is spit polish clean on both bikes.

Finally, it's the wifey who would rather ride than stop to eat.

I'm not a big fan of riding when theres still alot of snow around. Even though it might get in the 40's during the day at night it still usually goes below freezing. With snow melting and and the wetness getting in the roadway and then freezing at night dont want to hit one of those ice patches the next day.

I worry about all the salt dust. I know of at least 2 people that regret not waiting for the rains to clear it. Rust and pitted aluminum because they just didn't get it all cleaned of. I think I'll hold tight a while longer.:95:
