Thanks again for all the good Wishes. I promise to behave, at least for the first 300 mls :whistling::whistling::whistling:.

That Thingy next to the Tach is a LED Shift Light Indicator. You can program that Light for either blinking or steady Light at selected RpM. You can either program any Gear at the same RpM or each Gear individual on different RpM. I'm satified with the Idea, but i think there could have been a better Place or better said a better fitting LED Cluster around the Top of the Tach. It looks like someone ordered such a Thing to attach and the Engineers didn't have enough Time to make it look better. One of the Things i don't like.

I really like the other Display. When you turn the Key on, it says "Time to ride, this is VMAX" and when you turn the Key off, it says "See you next Time". Neat Idea, this secondary Display shows a Lot of Info, Clock Fuel Level, Gear selected, 1st or 2nd Trip Odo , Water Temp you can switch to another Mode and see the TPS Angle and whatnot else ... The EFI is very sophisticated. It has a complete Onboard Diagnose, you can test each and every Sensor with the ECU without using external Device. And this Ride sure has a LOT of Sensors. I'm having the Shop Manual for quite a while, but even while i'm reading back and forth every now and then i´'m not waded through the 500+ Pages.

I really expect them to built a 3rd Gen Venture around this Bike. The Airbox is huge (9 Liters/ 2.2 gal.) and when you loose this Volume, there go some Horses. If they redesign the Area and fit a classic Tank on Top of the Motor instead of the Airbox, there's enough Volume created to have a serious Tank Volume.

I'll keep you in the Loop :thumbsup2::thumbsup2:

SWEET!

At least it has the right engine configuration even if it's not a tourer. Hoping to see that heart in something fully decked out for long hauls in the next year or so. :happy34:

Congrats! great ride. I don't think it is ugly at all. The only part I would like to see different is that soft tail flip on the rear fender. I will be anxious to hear what you think about it after some real time in the saddle. :clap2:

It was last Tuesday. My Wife gave me a ride over to the Dealer where i've ordered the Bike on 07/18/2008.

My Wife dropped me at the Dealer and they have had everything preped as it was spoken over the Phone. My Payment went over the Bank the Friday before, so all we had to do was inspecting the Bike, get first Information's from the Sales Guy and off i go. My Wife left a bit earlier, because she had another Appointment at the Office. I said; i'll be there in two Hours or so ...

When i took of the first Time, it was a strange Feeling. The Bike is fairly high, but the Pull this Motor produces is noticeable even at off Idle. When i had accustomed my self to the Seating Position, i was out of Town and riding over some wide and not too cornery Back Roads. The Asphalt was cold, it was only 4 Degrees Celsius that Day and with new Tires and cold Roads, you gotta take it easy. I was only revving up to 3 or 3.5 k because i don't want to ruin my Ride on the first Encounter. I stopped in front of the old Church to take the Pics and have a Smoke and grin onto my new Bike. After i took off, i was more encouraged and getting more on the Motor. I revved up to 4.5 k and some more but only with slightly opened Throttle. This Motor is awesome. I'm sure it will pull my Arms out soon. I arrived at the Office were my Bikes are sitting after 1.5 Hours and 35 mls ridden. My Wife said i was grinning all the Way from left to right Ear. I think she's right, i have some Problems with the Muscles in my Face since. The Bike will sit another 4 to 6 Weeks until the Weather clears up and i'm able to give it the Treatment it's ought to.

Please refrain from Comments about how ugly this Bike looks. I know, and i don't like some Aspects like the Head Light and the Signals myself. I didn't buy it because of the Look, this will change anyway. I bought it for the Motor, the Frame, the Suspension, the Brakes. Everything else will be changed anyway sooner or later.

I like it. Looks awesome. Good for you enjoy the ride and I'm jealous. :happy65:

Wow, is that a chrome plated double barreled shotgun mounted on the side?

What number VMax did you get. Some one at the dealer where I bought my RSV is getting #87. What's your ###?

The European Number System is different than US. You just can't compare the VIN's. My Reservation # was 780 in Europe, the VIN is 881 (i think). Star is sending out Numbered Badges which mount to the Frame with a rolling Number on it. We here in Europe got to choose up to 8 Characters engraved in one personal Badge. Australia/New Zealand get's 2 Badges with "1 of 150 of the first Edition" or something like that.

Here's a pdf with six Pics of my Badge 1.5 MB Pdf

They sent me a personalized Brochure and a DVD with interesting Material on it in October along with the Badge and for Christmas i got a special Book about the 10 Years of Development of the new Bike and the Goals they wanted to achieve.

I'd love to be allowed to mount a Shotgun on a Vehicle, but it isn't allowed here...

Well, I Finally got to see one in person!!

The bike is even cooler than in pics!!

They have one on display at a local dealer & it looks VERY mean. I think my beard grew a little extra just standing by it!!

I would love to take one out and see what it could do. - I'm glad they didn't make any like this one back in the late 70s, I doubt I would be here today.

Squeeze,

I missed this post the first time around.

Wow. Man I love those things. If Irene didn't want to be on the back... I've lusted after a Max for years, but that thing just upped the ante on mean.

One thing you have to promise us: Don't ever say "Hey y'all watch this."
