DragonRider Posted January 31, 2009 #1 Posted January 31, 2009 Well today wasnt the best day I have ever had at work.........I stepped on a rubber mat next to my CNC machine at work and as I did it slipped out from under me sending me to the floor landing on my arse.............didnt hurt when it happend, but it is starting to hurt up and down my back now..............This was preceded by me missing 2 days, Wed, & Thurs, due to my scitica bothering me so bad I could hardly walk, sit or move without being in complete agony. Dr. prescribed painkiller for me and that did the trick, today when I went to work I was painfree for the first time in two weeks and then this happens, I filled out an accicent report as soon as it happened and notified both supervisors that it happened, I have a feeling that when I go back to work Mon, the facility manager is going to make me go to the Dr, and get a release to work before he will let me back in the shop.........he has done that to me once already when I had carpal tunnel problem. Just took another pain pill to see if I can get rid of it, And today was the first day I rode my bike to work in 10 days............man life can sure be a drag.............
Dano Posted January 31, 2009 #2 Posted January 31, 2009 At least the bike wasn't hurt! Ya gotta look at the brightside sometimes and forget the dark! Good luck with the couch and heating pad this weekend, catch up on your movies. Dan

Ivan Posted February 1, 2009 #12 Posted February 1, 2009 I busted my butt once. Actually the tail bone. Hurt like hell. X rays didn't show the break, so you can guess what they do next. And they ask if it hurts. Took me about two weeks before I could walk right again, and a while longer before I could sit for any amount of time.
Rottdoglover Posted February 2, 2009 #13 Posted February 2, 2009 I can relate to your back pain. Pinched nerves do odd things. Hope you have a quick recovery. I have never busted my butt, but I know it's cracked.
MikeM8560 Posted February 2, 2009 #14 Posted February 2, 2009 At least you did it at work, I would have to complain to myself if i fell.
loehring Posted February 2, 2009 #15 Posted February 2, 2009 Nope, no pics.........it was over in the blink of the eye..........I for one am very grateful you didn't post pics of your busted ass.
Eck Posted February 2, 2009 #16 Posted February 2, 2009 I work with a few folks that kiss BUTT all the time.... Maybe one of them can help you during your healing process.. Truthfully, I do hope your ok bro..
abdiver Posted February 2, 2009 #17 Posted February 2, 2009 CAN RELATE WITH ON THE BACK PROBLEMS, HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH IT FOR 10 YEARS, HAD SURGERY IN 99 FOR HERNIATED DISC, YOU NEED TO TAKE CARE OF IT, REST,REST & MORE REST, USE ICE, IT CONSTRICTS BLOOD FLOW, MUSCLE SPASMS, TAKE MOTRIN & MUSCLE RELAXERS. IT TAKES TIME TO HEAL. SOME TUIMES YOU MAY NEVER HEAL & HAVE TO LEARN TO TOLERATE PAIN. GOOD LUCK & GET BETTER SOON. ABDIVER
86er Posted February 3, 2009 #18 Posted February 3, 2009 Sorry to hear that, Lew! You know I can relate and "feel" your pain. (OK, Y'all stay away from that line!!!) Hope it's nothing serious and you're back to work soon.
