Leaving Florida beginning of July heading everywhere for 45 days! Blue Ridge Parkway, Sky Line Drive, Erie PA, Niagara Falls, The Seaway Trail, New England, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Loring AFB in ME, Quebec, Montreal, Ottawa, Northern Michagan, Wisconsin, and that's as far as Ive planned so far. Not concerned about how far I can get just interested in scenery and people. Hope to meet and great alot of you all along the way. I also plan on blogging the adventure with pictures and a diary! Would love advice on setting that up! So Bigfoot leave earlier and we can ride together!!

I wish I could but it's unlikely. You could pass within earshot of my house in Northern Va. so let me know. I could possibly be in Fla. on a family vacation in July but check with me anyway.

Boy that sounds familiar! I just retired in Oct. from being an ATC and a friend just retired from the Fire Department and we are doing the same thing this summer. Here is our route. It will start out west because anything within range of a 4 or 5 day trip we can do anytime. We are leaving here around July 16 or 17 and riding up to IL. then IA. then SD. then WY. then MT for Star Days, then Idaho and WA. state, then Oregon, then Calif. down to San Francisco, then over to Yosemite, then Sequoia NP, then over to the Grand Canyon the up to Utah then Colorado then probably home the Atlanta, Ga. You are welcome to do all or part with us. We are planning on camping or cabins a lot to save money with a cheap motel every 3 0r 4 days or when weater is bad. We may never get this chance again so we are going to see as much as posible in 4 weeks.

I agree with BradB. If you should decide to go to the east coast, you will find scenery not seen anywhere else in the world. I was on the west coast in BC for many years and although the scenery is great by the Pacific, nothing comes near the Atlantic region for scenery. Travel the coast line in NewBrunswick, stop at the Reversing Falls. Carry on the Hopewell Rocks in the Fundy Bay (the highest tide in the world). Keep going following the coast to Peggies cove and visit the morial for SwissAir 111. Keep going by the water to Cape Breton (world reknowned Cabot Trail). On your way back to Northern NewBrunswick, pass through Beautiful Prince Edward Island and back down to Main.

Great scenery, great people and great riding at that time of year. And yes, I am sure JoeCanuck, myself and a few others would be please to have a cup of java or even tag along for a day or two.

Cheers

One thing though...If your in a small town in Maine, and were not born or lived your whole life there, they will act kinda funny toward you....Hope MANIAC doesn't see this :missingtooth:
