flb_78 Posted January 31, 2009 #1 Posted January 31, 2009 Where's the best price for a Darkside tire in 165/80R15 shipped to 79108? Federal SS657 for $75.36 shipped Kuhmo 758 for $69.32 shipped Nexen SB802 for $65.43 shipped Can anyone find a better price?
hcdagen Posted January 31, 2009 #2 Posted January 31, 2009 http://www.onlinetires.com/default.aspx?PageData=tireResults I've ordered from these people, and they were excellent to deal with.$40.00 for the tire, and I think around $15.00 to deliver to Pa. from Ca.Not sure of the exact shipping cost but it was very reasonable. They also have Kumho's for $43.00.I'm very happy with the Federal, good luck on your decision.Herb
flb_78 Posted January 31, 2009 Author #3 Posted January 31, 2009 sweet, Federal SS657 for $50.07 Kuhmo for $53.07 Great prices, thank you. Any better out there?
pegscraper Posted January 31, 2009 #4 Posted January 31, 2009 Have you worn your BFG out already? I think you should change your name to cartire.
flb_78 Posted January 31, 2009 Author #5 Posted January 31, 2009 Have you worn your BFG out already? I think you should change your name to cartire. Yeah, it's getting pretty thin. I have about 12000 on it. My last M/C tire lasted 8000. I didn't get to ride much last summer. The roads around here now are all chip sealed and it's taking a toll on our tires. Plus I ride like an idiot.
pegscraper Posted January 31, 2009 #6 Posted January 31, 2009 Twelve thou? They're supposed to last longer than that. You been doing burnouts? You going to go for a Federal next time?
flb_78 Posted January 31, 2009 Author #7 Posted January 31, 2009 Yeah, Im rough on rear tires. Maybe not so much burnouts, but pulling the front wheel off the ground and hard rear braking. It'll be either the Federal or the Kuhmo next time around. I haven't decided yet.
Squidley Posted January 31, 2009 #8 Posted January 31, 2009 Plus I ride like an idiot. Come on!!!.....say it isn't so
pegscraper Posted January 31, 2009 #9 Posted January 31, 2009 Hey, I'd like to see some pics of stunts like these. You don't see very many people getting this trick on a Venture. Do you do stoppies on the front wheel too?
