FROG MAN Posted January 29, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 29, 2009 Looks like the East may see another major snow, ice, rain event early next week. Something brewing in the gulf heading this way. This kind of thing brings back child hood memories. Wonder why I don't enjoy it as much. MamaMo's mom is flooded out and can't get home tonight. She is staying in a motel with Ramona. I guess it's a party tonight me and the dog.Mini you might get a noreaster yet.
mini-muffin Posted January 29, 2009 Share #2 Posted January 29, 2009 Thanks Gerald I really wasn't looking for one. Pretty sure nobody else is looking for a storm either. So you're on your own tonight. Have fun. Margaret
Dano Posted January 29, 2009 Share #3 Posted January 29, 2009 Most fun I've had in the snow in years. Sold my plow and vehicle this past summer, enjoyed staying home last night and going to work today. I miss the money, tho. I would've made about 1500 so far........... FROG MAN Posted January 29, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted January 29, 2009 I could use a blade on my ATV about now. I wonder if Freebird would loan out that new John Deer?
Midrsv Posted January 29, 2009 Share #5 Posted January 29, 2009 Yeah, we got hit with a lot of ice yesterday and last night and a couple inches of snow in central KY. A lot of power outages. I had to take my generator to my in-laws and hook it up so they could run their furnace (gas). So far we still have power at my house but I have a couple of trees that I'm going to have to finish taking down. Seems the ice only did about half of the job. Freebird Posted January 29, 2009 Share #6 Posted January 29, 2009 I tell you, that little John Deere and blower are doing a fantastic job. I've very pleased with it.

Cougar Posted January 30, 2009 Share #9 Posted January 30, 2009 Yep, I have really enjoyed my little plow in front of my old faithful Craftsman Rider. I leave the blade on now all the time as I purchased a John Deere ZTR last year, and has cut my mow time from 3 hours 15 Min's to 1 hour and 40 Min's. Yippy, so much fun! I even don't look drunk using it anymore. I have over 46 hours on it now. (true expert now) *sigh* Jeff
Jethroish Posted January 30, 2009 Share #10 Posted January 30, 2009 Another storm has come and gone, and with it was 10 hours without power. The power here is so unreliable. In 1 1/2 years, we have lost power more here than the 12 years in Okla. After saying it every storm, finally ordered a generator today. Nothing big, but enough to run a few space heaters, tv, and lights. More power...arrr, arrr, arrr.
