Radio won't come on and just wanna make sure I have checked all that needs to be checked before going to dealer.

- - -Radio fuse {10 amp} is not blown.

- - -All connections are okay.

It is my assumption that since those two things are spot on; then, the radio is kaput, there is nothing else to check and it is time to take the booger to the dealer.....Right?

Were not mind readers. Is this a Venture or something else? For all we know its the radio in your sons Dodge Neon. Your ID on your thread does not mention a bike model or year.

Has it just quit? Or never worked? Was the bike ever wrecked? is it new? Did you do any electrical work on the bike? Has it been operating intermittently?

Sounds like it should be working. Does it light up? Does the display seem to operate but just no sound? Is the CB on, with low volume, and unsquelched? That can make the radio seem to be inoperative.

Give us something to go on here.

LUSBOY rides a RSV. If you've checked all the connections and verified power then I would say yes, time for a trip to the dealer. Be ready for a shock though, if I'm not mistaken, your bike will be out of warranty now and those parts are HIGH. If you find out what you need, there are a couple of online salvage yards that will have the part much cheaper. PinWall cycle salvage is one. There is a link to their Ebay store on the bottom right of the home page.

Double check on the CB. If you turn your radio on, and hit the transmit button, and see TX (small - at the top) display, your CB is on. This will kill the radio sound. It's happened before.

Nah, she dead I think. Still in warranty until 2010 and got a new rear shock last summer. Well, I will just have to get a new radio too.

Saw a new black and silver one in at the Fort Myers Yamaha Dealer on Saturday. It's hot!

My radio stoped working took it to the dealer the radio was shot. It was still covered by warranty. How the fun part the dealer had to remove the radio and send it to clarion . Clarion received the radio from the dealer on dec 6 2008 it took till jan 13 2009 to decide that it could not be fixed and sent a new one back to the dealer. My bike was at the dealers all that time. It was not the dealers falt they called clarion numberous times. I call clarion my self numberous times and even called the yamaha rep even they could not get them to move any faster. So expected your bike to be down for a long time. My bike is a 2006 venture and i had the same problem it just quit working.:225:
