DragonRider Posted January 24, 2009 #1 Posted January 24, 2009 Check out this beautiful 1st Gen on Ebay...... 110341966909
kenw Posted January 25, 2009 #2 Posted January 25, 2009 It is pretty, and a beautifull color. Nice looking, even for an antique.
Yammer Dan Posted January 25, 2009 #3 Posted January 25, 2009 You're late. I drooled over that one last night. Hey Skid there is a 86 with less miles than you started with...
Venturous Randy Posted January 25, 2009 #5 Posted January 25, 2009 That is no doubt a beautiful 1st gen. Anyone want to make a bet as to how much it will go for? RandyA
Yammer Dan Posted January 25, 2009 #6 Posted January 25, 2009 I bet more than a 1000 dollars!! Around 3500
BIG TOM Posted January 25, 2009 #9 Posted January 25, 2009 EVEN A SECOND GENNER LIKE ME WOULD LIKE THIS ONE IN THEIR STABLE..REALLY NICE BIKE...
Dano Posted January 25, 2009 #10 Posted January 25, 2009 Looks like the one that was on there a few months ago, the tires are the same.
WilCruise Posted January 25, 2009 #11 Posted January 25, 2009 That looks sweet! I had to cut back on my habit last fall though. It's tough to keep more than one bike with our winters and no garage! I'm not too far from it - don't think I can get there before the auction ends, but if anyone buys it I'd be glad to stop by next weekend and help arrange transport or something if it'd help.
Squidley Posted January 25, 2009 #12 Posted January 25, 2009 Yeah I had one just like it, mine wasn't in as good a shape as that one, but was pretty close. I'm sure that it will make someone a nice ride....I'm thinking no more than $3200 this time of year.
bongobobny Posted January 25, 2009 #13 Posted January 25, 2009 Get that Metzler of the back and you would have a perfect bike! Very nice indeed!!
Yammer Dan Posted January 25, 2009 #14 Posted January 25, 2009 Over 2000 with 5 days to go. That is a nice ride.
Skid Posted January 27, 2009 #15 Posted January 27, 2009 Made it up to $3050.00 and still over three days to go...
86er Posted January 28, 2009 #16 Posted January 28, 2009 Still at 3050 and 2 days 16hrs. It still hasn't met the reserve.
WilCruise Posted January 29, 2009 #19 Posted January 29, 2009 Wow, 4Gs. It's nice but I think that's about the top of it's money. It'll be interesting to see what it ultimately goes for.
Condor Posted January 29, 2009 #20 Posted January 29, 2009 Ya know as much as I like 1stGens, when the price starts creeping up close to what a clean '99RSV is selling for, I'd think better of pulling the trigger on it...
SapperMedic Posted January 30, 2009 #21 Posted January 30, 2009 I got really lucky on mine, Lonestar medic saw it on e-bay one day and I bought it the next, $3400 and the guy reimbursed me for my travel and hotal. I just went over 20,000 on it this week, Its been ALMOST too cold to ride here for the last couple days, I got down to 40 last night..............Oops gotta go, the better half wants to ride to New Braunfels for an ice cream.
Skid Posted January 30, 2009 #22 Posted January 30, 2009 Guessing $4200 to $4500.... Its getting close to my estimate, but I wouldn't be surprised to see more than that..... say 5K?
Yammer Dan Posted January 30, 2009 #23 Posted January 30, 2009 Out of my reach!! The Warden said if it cost 5 bucks I wasn't getting it!!
RSTDdog Posted January 30, 2009 #24 Posted January 30, 2009 If that bike ends up bringing well over 4K, I better head to Daytona and pick up the 87 with 14k miles for 3750 on Clist I posted the link to( 3k cash would probably buy it) and relist it on ebay after a good wax and Polish.... Actually if I had the luxury and the money to have two bikes, I'd just keep it.
Venturous Randy Posted January 30, 2009 #25 Posted January 30, 2009 It went for $4,050. I guess you were the closest PB&J. RandyA
