Pudycat03 Posted January 24, 2009 #1 Posted January 24, 2009 I read that the earlier ones had basically both 4th and 5th as overdrive and the newer RSV changed the gearing to a more conventional 4th gear. What year did they do that?

pegscraper Posted January 25, 2009 #6 Posted January 25, 2009 If you're referring to just the RSV, meaning from '99 to the present, like everyone said, they're all the same. It is the 1st gen Ventures that were geared differently in the transmission. They're geared about like a VMX.
