Replacement Radio

On my '89 VR I want to replace the radio with an after market model. It is the Jensen model HD5112. I want to hook it up to play thru the speakers and also the headsets. Any ideas? Should I cut off the 5 pin wire from the factory radio and splice it to the aftermarket one and play it thru the amp? Will this get the sound thru the headsets? This radio has inputs for MP3, wma, USB, SD Card, ipod and sat. radio. I really want to use this radio. Any help will be appreciated.
