tufftom4 Posted January 15, 2009 #1 Posted January 15, 2009 I have the opportunity to buy this 93 virago for 750$ delivered, it needs some work but he guarantees me that it runs perfect I have had one before and they are fun to ride and I would use it as my daily commuter instead of my VR do you think I am crazy ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motorcycles___1993-YAMAHA-VIRAGO-XV750_W0QQitemZ140294658849QQddnZMotorcyclesQQddiZ2283QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_motorcycles?hash=item140294658849&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A10%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
MidlifeVenture Posted January 15, 2009 #2 Posted January 15, 2009 Hey if it is what you want to ride and feel like getting some wind and not havin music then why not. Remember the one with the most toys at the end wins. And I believe in trying to win. You will save some gas to.
bongobobny Posted January 15, 2009 #3 Posted January 15, 2009 Looks like a pretty nice scoot for the money...
BoomerCPO Posted January 15, 2009 #4 Posted January 15, 2009 You can never have too many horses in the stable.....especially if ya give em beer while yer drinking whiskey.
Squidley Posted January 15, 2009 #6 Posted January 15, 2009 Virago's are a decent bike and that would be a good around town runner. Corrosion can be cleaned, if you can get it delivered for $750...I'd say go for it.
tufftom4 Posted January 16, 2009 Author #7 Posted January 16, 2009 Thanks Guys I think I have another horse in the stable.
Guest BluesLover Posted January 16, 2009 #8 Posted January 16, 2009 I have a 99 1100S Virago that I used as a second bike. It is a ton of fun to ride, especially if you're doing some 1-up riding. Cheers,
Skid Posted January 16, 2009 #9 Posted January 16, 2009 I had a 920 Virago several years back, and I like it. Definitely like to have one myself as a Daily rider.....
BOO Posted January 16, 2009 #10 Posted January 16, 2009 Yep, that would make a nice bike to ride. I also had a 1100 a few years back but it didn't get ridden enough so I sold it. I like the design on the 90's virago must better then the first ones like the 920 that skid mentioned, there was something different about the rake angle or something. Nice cornering bike. Jerry
