spear Posted January 15, 2009 #1 Posted January 15, 2009 (edited) Just wanted to mention (without rubbing anything in) that today we had a pleasant maximum temperature of 41degC. Overnight it went down to a very pleasant 18degC. Gotta love this Aussie weather. Yes - I did ride to work, in short sleeves. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Edited January 16, 2009 by spear Changed degF to degC (Dopey)

My back has been toast for the whole month and the weather has been GREAT. Ride to the AM class and need the heavy jacket and chaps come home in tee shirt. I wish I could handle the pain better so I could get out more. Oh well what does not kill you makes you stronger. Any one want to come to San Diego and ride some of my bikes so the battery's don't go dead? Torn Disk Rod
spear Posted January 16, 2009 Author #8 Posted January 16, 2009 I think he means celsius. Damn Jim. How dopey am I. I DID mean celsius. How does 100degF+ sound during the day?
GeorgeS Posted January 16, 2009 #9 Posted January 16, 2009 Well I rode from Sacremento, to Redding Calif. last August, it was 113 F ---- It was not much fun !! Not sure if I preferred that, or the 38 F ride I took yesterday. ( this ride was just a short 1 hour to test my new HOT Grips, and Elect Vest, They work good )
a1bummer Posted January 16, 2009 #10 Posted January 16, 2009 Ummm... 40 degree Celsius = 104 degree Fahrenheit & -40 degree Celsius = -40 degree Fahrenheit
vtwinr Posted January 16, 2009 #11 Posted January 16, 2009 Phoenix, AZ. It's been down to lows in the 40's F., (I open up a bedroom window at night,) and up to the 70's F. during the day. The bikers are having a ball out here, especially HD riders who tend to thin out some during those blazing summer afternoons. That's where a liquid cooled Royal Star would have an advantage though.
spear Posted January 16, 2009 Author #12 Posted January 16, 2009 My son and his wife live north of Sidney ... Eck - Eck - ECK! Mate - I told you before, it's SYDNEY. (Now repeat after me S-Y-D-N-E-Y, S-Y-D-N-E-Y, S-Y-D-N-E-Y.) That's it - you got it now baby!:clap2:
Yammer Dan Posted January 17, 2009 #13 Posted January 17, 2009 Hovering around 0 F here. Wind is nice. water lines trying to freeze. Means I got to go out and see why!!
spear Posted February 11, 2009 Author #14 Posted February 11, 2009 Did I mention that last week we hit 100degF - IN THE SHADE - and it was 114 in the direct sun? :225: and still Australia burns.
Sylvester Posted February 11, 2009 #15 Posted February 11, 2009 Been in the mid 70's F here in North Carolina since last Saturday.
Cerviperus Posted February 11, 2009 #16 Posted February 11, 2009 It has been in the 60's the past two days, and my bike is in another guy's garage being worked on. The horror... THE HORROR!!
