curtisb Posted January 14, 2009 #1 Posted January 14, 2009 Well i am trying to run the khrome werks exhaust again on the venture. I have made sure that it has no vacum leaks and no exhaust leaks. The pipes sound great , no backfires when shifting, but on decel a lot of pop, pop, pop. Not loud, more like a gurgle. Have also just done a carb sync. Is this just something that you have to live with when changing exhausts? P.s. - also have already sealed the small leak at exhaust y pipes. Any info would be great.
Sleeperhawk Posted January 14, 2009 #2 Posted January 14, 2009 I run Khromewerks on my 08, had them on the 05 I have noticed if lugging the engine in any gear will cause a small backfire on deceleration, but if the RPMs are kept higher in a lower gear, usually no backfire on deceleration. Also, if backfiring is starting to get worse, tells me to carb sync, and it usually needs the sync done.
