big mike Posted May 6, 2009 #126 Posted May 6, 2009 I'm using Weight Watchers My official goal was 35lbs, unofficially 40lbs. 1st week I've lost 6 lbs. My only problem is a low calorie, low fat salty snack other than rice cakes. Any ideas would be appreciated. Jay Jay, That is a great way to lose weight. From all of the information at the hospital I work at, it is the healthiest also. It is however a slower way to lose weight and you'll reach a plateau now and again, so dont get discouraged if you don't lose weight after a short time. You may even gain a little sometimes. It is normal and the best way for your body to lose. The weight gain can be from muscle gain or from getting off track a little, NO BIG DEAL!!! Keep pushing forward. My family and I have recently joined a local gym that offers personal trainers. They don't give us food suggestions, however, they take our goals and taylor a routine to help us accomplish them. We have been eating more lean protien and lots of fruits and veggies, while cutting down on bad carbs and soda and drinking plenty of water. Keep pushing forward everyone, we can keep rootin eachother on and before you know it we'll all be skinny minnies and slim jims!!!! Big Mike.......who hopes to one day be SLIM JIM!!!!!
Leadwolf56 Posted May 6, 2009 #127 Posted May 6, 2009 Holding at a loss of about 17 lbs. But not going back up either. Hopefully I'll be closer to my goal by MD.

Squidley Posted May 9, 2009 #129 Posted May 9, 2009 I have lost a little "size" but not that much weight, doesn't really matter as monies will be collect one way or another. Good job to you Tom keep it up
Brake Pad Posted May 9, 2009 #130 Posted May 9, 2009 I just don't know how you do it. since I started my weight loss program, I've gained almost 26 pounds. started at 253, now 278, 4 months later. I dont have time for sports, or a gym, I work 6 days a week working and running a construction company, I work hard and sweat my A** off everyday. I also drink alot of water, to keep hydrated. I may have to give up on this weight loss thing, and just make a donation, to the cause.
