NO cattle prod. Just the whip should do...and maybe some thigh high leather boots. :) Then I can get my exercise just chasing her around. :)

Ok so what size shoe does Eileen wear? gonna have to find a pair soon, can't have you not lose weight with the rest of us. Oh does she need a whip or can you find one for her?

Just trying to help you out.:innocent:

Didn't know about the pickles Honey.

Just have your Knee Replaced then get the hickups for 3 days and have a reaction to the pain meds they give you. I lost 33 lbs. in 2 weeks ( I'm doing really good at keeping it off also )

This is not a recomended way to loose weight !!

Hi Guys!

Thought I'd keep you posted on our weight loss....to date, Big Tom is 13lbs. lighter...(in just one week...I hate him...) and me...just 2.2lbs..yes.. .2, every ounce counts.

Weight Watchers seems to work best for us. You don't feel like you're dieting...just eating healthy and limiting portions.

We are never hungry....which is a big plus, and we don't feel like we are begrudging ourselves of anything.

But, everyone needs to find what works for them. Good Luck Every One!!! :fingers-crossed-emo

Don't worry Tatters men lose weight fast in the beginning. Not sure why that is. You're doing great though. Never want to take the weight off too fast either.

Oh so if Big Tom loses weight does he need to change his name on here?:whistling:

i have actually lost 5 Lbs.........im shocked.:cool10:

And i agree with the pickle thing......i grab one now and then just for the salty craving....and they generally have no calories or very low. I also do olives for the same thing...tho they are about 5 calories a piece.

I have tried hard to cut out most sugar.......high fat things.....and extremely high calorie foods.

WE seem to do good when we are craving something sweet for dessert if i make sugar free jello.....and mix either lite cool whip or fat free cool whip in it . tastes like a sweet dessert with only a carb or two and and only a couple calories and extremely low sugar.( the calories, sugars and carbs come from the cool whip but as i said these kinds are very low)

Like to make orange jello and put mandarin oranges in it and lite cool whip.......satisfies my sweet tooth.

I have been eating a lot of fresh oranges, apples, bananas, salads, celery sticks, etc.

Breakfast is kinda hard to keep the counts low when u like eggs and bacon and toast...:8:

I decided to try some special K.........they have a lot of new flavors out.....the cinnamon pecan isnt too bad.

We always use skim milk anyways so that we didnt need to switch.

I have been having some headaches tho......not sure why? can you get headaches when u cut your sugar intake drastically? or maybe its just hunger headaches......lol

we have tried the atkins diet a couple times before......but i didnt feel good on it and also had sleeping problems.Different people react differently to it Ive read. and after checking into it more deeply learned that it actually isnt good for you....so I tiry to stay away from that one.....tho i am cutting carbs but not that drastically..

oh yeah....and dont even think about having me try to quit smoking while trying to lose weight.......i may become dangerous......:buttkick::bang head::smash2:

That's great Cindy. I'm so proud of you. I like this cereal that I have a hard time finding in these parts. It's a Post cereal with blueberries and cranberries in it. Don't need any sugar with that.

Keep up the good work Cindy we're here to keep you motivated.

I am riding my exercise bike 20minutes every evening. I am watching my portions. Eating more salads, and trying to drink water more.

I have dieted all my life, off and on. I am a life time weightwatcher, too. I am just trying to eat smarter, and I have cut out beer. It seems I really need a beer after a bike ride, and I sure am not riding right now.

I want to lose 20 pounds so I can wear one size smaller. It does seem as though I am hungry more at night. I try to eat slower and chew my food more slowly. I have been trying to keep busy at night, so I do not feel the hunger so. I have a weight lifting machine, a pilate ball, and a tread mill, too. I will eventually start using them too. It is just so hard to walk down the steps to get to them.

But I do think that I am focused and have the right frame of mind to accomplish this goal.

Cindy,

Try this for breakfast...2 egg whites with mushroom, onions, and a little low cal mozzarella cheese, to make as a omlette. Have with a cup of fresh fruit or a banana.

Also hot oatmeal seems to stay with you longer than cold cereal.

The smoking....will deal with later...lol :97:

HEY YOU PEOPLE ARE DOING REALLY GOOD,

guess i should step on the platform scale at work tomorrow, and just see if i had tacked any on, i have been kind of watching what i eat for the past 15 years, cholestrol problems, got enough to make 3 people high, usually runs around 12-14,the doc just flips when he gets my results in, my best breakfast food is oatmeal, usually ties me through the day, till supper time, which is usually at dark, and some nights it's darker than others, guess that is the one time when i shouldn't eat, don't burn it off, i like my sweets, seemsthat i crave some sugar during the day, so i am going to try and loose 1o lbs, that is going to be hard, might have to get into a excersise program, other than in the mornings working the kinks out of the body,

Yes Cindy you can get headaches until your body adjusts to the new way of eating. Your body gets addicted to the sugar and craves it just like a caffine addiction. Same thing when you tried the Atkins before your body needed time to adjust. Sometimes people will feel like a bad case of the flu but no fever. It is the body wanting the item you are cutting out (its like a drug to the body) I have read different diets (Atkins, South Beach, GI, etc.) and almost all says that we need to cut the sugar and refined products (they need to be limited) I have started to believe that we need to start eating like the old days. Vegetables, Fruit, Meat, Dairy, Whole wheat flours, cornmeal. I think cakes, pies, candy was for special occasions and sundays, not every day. Most of the people that died early back than died of things that can be treated today. Alot of people lived a long long time 70's, 80's,90's and some 100's.

Some people say dont do Atkins I just know that it worked for me the first time. I did not do it as strict as the book says and still lost 65lb. I did it in one year. Before I started weighed over 200 lb wore a tight size 20 had cholesterol levels of 235-285. Went to a size 6-8 cholesterol level of 200 and weighed between 132-137 all the time. Kept all the weight off for about 2 years than started slowly eating the things that I should not have started (like cakes, pastries, candy, potatoes, corn, peas, white bread). I have found out my body is very carb sensitive. I gained 30lb back (only about half). Now I know and will have to eat accordingly when I get my weigh back off. Have been doing alot of thinking about how to eat later and what to eat. I am not telling anyone how they are to diet. You have to find a plan that works for you. Everyone is different. What may work for one will not work for another. Just don't quit. You have a large support group here and we will be there for you. There are so many plans (South Beach, Atkins, Weigh Watchers, mediterranean diet, Glycemic Index, NutriSystem, Mayo Clinic, Best Life Diet, DietWatch, Diet.com.

If one don't work try another after a few weeks. But give your body time to adjust to the diet.

ONE IS FOR YOU. YOU CAN DO IT. :clap2::clap2::clap2:

Mike I really wish you had not taken such a real life photo of that delicious looking delightful dessert. I bet I absorbed a few calories looking at it.

Boo!... Boo!... Boo! ...(looks delicious) what are you doing to us??? :no-no-no: lol Show us some sexy carrot sticks and celery why don't ya? :2143:

There are ways. I had Cheesecake pudding mixed with cream cheese last week just didn't have a crust yum yum Sugarfree Still lost weight. But I could have made a crust out of crushed nuts. There are recipes out there. As for the carrot sticks I would just make sure I ate them with a sour cream based dip. The dairy helps with the insulin levels. By the way something else I learned from my daughter Low fat Items usually have more sodium. So if you are watching your sodium check your labels. WE CAN DO IT.
