N3FOL Posted February 8, 2009 #26 Posted February 8, 2009 N3FOL Where did you put the stabilizer and were the wires you hooked into the same colors as the instruction say they will be? I installed my Sig. Stabilizer under my seat just slightly on the rear side of the battery. I secured it with plastic tie wraps and it is not going anywhere. As for wire colors, yes, it is straightforward and the wire colors are exact. With the supplied posi-tap (don't know if I got the term right), it makes connecting wires easy and 100% full contact. Hope that helps. Have fun with your installation.
GB373 Posted February 9, 2009 #27 Posted February 9, 2009 Thanks CMIK The tip about filing down the edge really helped. Had to take about 1/16 off all four to get them to drop in and seal properly, overall this was a snap. The extra brightness is fantastic and well worth the time and money!
N3FOL Posted February 9, 2009 #28 Posted February 9, 2009 Didn't have to do it on my end...I just have to find the right orientation on the lights and it slides right in. Glad you got it properly seated...enjoy the brightness. Regards.

Glad you got it properly seated...enjoy the brightness. Regards. Hey Mike That is kinda strange...Custom dynamics folks told me the turn signal LEDs were supposed to fit down inside the lense covers and just seem to fit too tight down in the lense covers. I was afraid I would never get them out again... I installed them on my son's 08 Vstar along with the brake light... It has 132 LEDs for the brake light. Instruction on this one said hot glue the LED board inside the lense cover. Looked good but did not like that install much. On the turn signals again...I filed the edges of the turn signal boards to get them to drop down inside the lense covers. They now fit snug as do the ones on my venture. I guess what made me real cautious about this...I had a little bit of wax that I had not removed on the brake light lense...it was hidden till I removed it. I installed the rear LED brake light and that little bit of wax was visible...then I noticed the lense cover did not seem to be fully seated in the rubber gasket. Seems the LED board was in between the lense cover studs and the studs coming out from the brake light assembly holding the lense cover off the gasket. I guess I could have drilled the holes out in the LED module but they were not as close as I thought they should be to the right size on mine. I ground off the 3 studds inside the brake light lense just enough to allow the lense to fully seat against the rubber. That is what made me really want to make sure the turn signals were sealing off to the rubber. Hell I usually over analyze stuff anyway. Good that you got them to work as they were. Good to hear about others experience on this great aftermarket stuff. Love my LED lights. Thanks for backing me up. I think we need to get a discount on our next order from these folks. What do ya think...probably NOT. Mike C.
N3FOL Posted February 9, 2009 #30 Posted February 9, 2009 lol...Yes, I think we should get something from Custom Dynamics (CD). When I installed my LED's, it took me a little over an hour including installing the signal stabilizer. I admit, I spent more time trying to figure out what the correct orientation of the LED board should sit in the signal casing with the help of my 8 year old son as my 3rd and 4th hand. The rear LED board took me 3 minutes to install.... I recommended the LED clusters and LED rear light to my co-worker who owns an RSTD and stated that his order is on the way. Regards and Ride Safe.
