Mikealiasmike Posted January 6, 2009 Author #6 Posted January 6, 2009 I don't understand? Why would it be removed?
Mikealiasmike Posted January 6, 2009 Author #7 Posted January 6, 2009 Think I got link fixed. Nope. I give up
BigBoyinMS Posted January 6, 2009 #8 Posted January 6, 2009 I don't understand? Why would it be removed? It's still there. Just go to ebay and search for 180317769854 Looks to be it really good shape.

Moakster Posted January 6, 2009 #10 Posted January 6, 2009 I remember that piece of tape on the computer display. Red blinking ( battery) light drives you nuts.
bongobobny Posted January 6, 2009 #11 Posted January 6, 2009 Man, that's as nice if not nicer than Goldie. His trailer looks a lot cooler and matches better than mine does! Tempting, very tempting...
PBJ Posted January 6, 2009 #12 Posted January 6, 2009 Yeah Bob I was going to suggest you look at that trailer but you already have one. Wait a minute I have a trailer hitch. I should look into it.

Bongobobny just think, 15406 miles.... nice paint, matching trailer worth close to 1000.00, heck, bike is worth the price as it stands and more.... feel the draw... the magnetic pull.... think of the pair matched up at a M&E or Int Rally.... you want it.... you owe it to yourself.... you NEED IT.... and it's as close as PA God Bless. Condor Posted January 6, 2009 #14 Posted January 6, 2009 As long as everyone is looking you might take a peek at this one... er two. Divide the asking in half.... Figure in the equipment... EBAYVENTURE
bongobobny Posted January 7, 2009 #15 Posted January 7, 2009 You just WANT to see me divorced, don't you?!!? Thank you chabicheka for getting link to work. autopilot Posted January 7, 2009 #16 Posted January 7, 2009 The first link worked fine for me as did chabicheka's. Russ & condor's came up unavailable! And yeah, it's a nice bike, for sure.
Condor Posted January 8, 2009 #17 Posted January 8, 2009 I don't know what the problem is trying to copy an address in Ebay and using it to hotlink to an auction. Works for some and not for others. Anyway try this. http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/buttons/btnShowMe.gif
friesman Posted January 8, 2009 #18 Posted January 8, 2009 I don't know what the problem is trying to copy an address in Ebay and using it to hotlink to an auction. Works for some and not for others. Anyway try this. http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/buttons/btnShowMe.gif Sorry Jack your link doesnt work for me using IE7 i get the item is unavailable, and tried it with Chrome and Firefox but they wouldnt open your link either. Brian
Freebird Posted January 8, 2009 #19 Posted January 8, 2009 It seems to have something to do with the way the links are being added. For some reason, if you just enter the URL, they work fine. If you enter a text or button and link it to the URL, it is causing a problem. I'll try to figure out why.
Freebird Posted January 8, 2009 #20 Posted January 8, 2009 Trying it both ways: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motorcycles___1988-Yamaha-Venture-Royale-XVZ13-White-Biege_W0QQitemZ270327347841QQddnZMotorcyclesQQddiZ2283QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_motorcycles?hash=item270327347841&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A727|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1308 and a link to the same one: Venture
Freebird Posted January 8, 2009 #21 Posted January 8, 2009 hmmm....both of those links work for me. I did make a change in the programming code before I did that though. I don't think it would help with the existing links but maybe will work from now on.
Condor Posted January 8, 2009 #22 Posted January 8, 2009 Both work for me too Don. I donno, but that button was taken from an email to myself off the auction page, copied, and then pasted to the post. Thought I'd see if it worked. It worked off the email, and should have worked off the post??? Other times I use the hyperlink feature off the menu at the top of the reply text window. I've noticed that sometimes a hyperlink will work for me, and not for others, and visa versa. It also seems to happen when other members post. So it's a random thing. The only time they seem to work all the time is when an address is pasted in it's original form. I only use the hyperlink when the address for a webpage is huge.
Mikealiasmike Posted January 8, 2009 Author #23 Posted January 8, 2009 Condor, actually that's how my very first message in thread was posted. Real long and copied from the web address on the top of the page. Nobody could get it then either. I'm sure Don will figure it out as he always does. He's good that way Ride safe and God Bless. P.S. sure wish I had the money for the bike and trailer though. Things barely broke in...

Freebird Posted January 8, 2009 #25 Posted January 8, 2009 Yes, that link in the first post is working for me now. I made some changes that will hopefully solve this.
