Guest ReinyRooster Posted July 15, 2007 #1 Posted July 15, 2007 Am getting the E2 error message when trying to inflate the rear end with the class system. Searched the forum but can't find anything on that message. Can anyone help? Thanks.
Rocket Posted July 15, 2007 #2 Posted July 15, 2007 Am getting the E2 error message when trying to inflate the rear end with the class system. Searched the forum but can't find anything on that message. Can anyone help? Thanks. From the manual E2: Air pressure does not rise when the air compressor is operated.. Look for leaky pipe, clogged compressor suction port (intake air filter), or dryer clogged. There is one other possibility, to change the compressor.
Guest Boss Hogg Posted July 15, 2007 #3 Posted July 15, 2007 possible that you have a cracked solder joint in the computer where the connector is soldered to the circuit board bad problem but easy fix with a soldering iron and good eyes
BradT Posted July 16, 2007 #4 Posted July 16, 2007 inflate the rear end . This one leaves things wide open after a trip like this last one. I think the circuit board needs to soldered. Brad
bongobobny Posted July 16, 2007 #5 Posted July 16, 2007 I think Rocket may be right, but try the old solder thingey anyway. Worst case senerio, I have another compressor assy on the '85 of unknown condition if you want to try it out...
Marcarl Posted July 16, 2007 #6 Posted July 16, 2007 I've done both and both or either could be the problem. Need some help, just ask. carl
Guest ReinyRooster Posted July 16, 2007 #7 Posted July 16, 2007 Thanks for the info guys...Carl, I may just take you up on that offer one day. Brad........go back to sleep.
Leadwolf56 Posted July 16, 2007 #8 Posted July 16, 2007 Reiny, Are you putting the bike on the centerstand when you try to bring up the pressure? if it's on the sidestand you may get the E2 message. Not sure how I know this....
Guest ReinyRooster Posted July 16, 2007 #9 Posted July 16, 2007 Kevin, yes, I had it on the centre stand when I was trying it. I may just have to draw on Carl's experience and infinite wisdom ( serious butt-kissing here) for him to offer some of his unending enlightenment......

Squidley Posted July 16, 2007 #11 Posted July 16, 2007 Buy a progressive shock and forget about that Class system
Guest ReinyRooster Posted July 17, 2007 #12 Posted July 17, 2007 My biggest question/concern is if I understand correctly. once it's in, you really can't adjust the ride to compensate for a passenger or extra load. Isn't that an issue? Don't wanna always have it set for the stiffest setting.
Guest Boss Hogg Posted July 17, 2007 #13 Posted July 17, 2007 right now I'm dealing with the rear I had the damper set to 4 and it was like a hard tail so I switched to 1 and now I cut a fuel line tring to find the happy medium
