RoadKill Posted January 5, 2009 #1 Posted January 5, 2009 Niehause Cycle- Open House is scheduled for May 15 - 17th. Hey Snarly Bill - Maybe it will be a little warmer this year. This is weekend after your St Charles gathering. Looks like I'll have to see two times in one month:crying:
Cerviperus Posted January 5, 2009 #2 Posted January 5, 2009 If I've got nothing going on that weekend, I may have to tag along with you, Jay.
RoadKill Posted January 5, 2009 Author #3 Posted January 5, 2009 If I've got nothing going on that weekend, I may have to tag along with you, Jay. Cool. I imagine I will go Saturday if possible. My son said he wants to go, but by then I'm sure something better will come along than spending the day with Dad.

My son said he wants to go, but by then I'm sure something better will come along than spending the day with Dad.Surely not. A day with Dad, on a motorcycle, checking out other motorcycles... sounds like a perfect day to me! In fact, I bet my dad will go along as well.
BOO Posted January 5, 2009 #5 Posted January 5, 2009 I'm sure our group will be going down again. Haven't missed it for 5 or 6 years. We usually run down on Sat morning and spend the night and come back on Sun. Jerry
Russ Posted January 6, 2009 #6 Posted January 6, 2009 If I can get off my lazy butt and get back to working on the bike, I may make it down there myself.

RoadKill Posted January 6, 2009 Author #10 Posted January 6, 2009 the cold did'nt bother me, it was the wind. i should be there That wind was rather ferocious wasn't it. I wore the edges of my tires coming and going on that day! :biker:That's the day my battery crapped out too. It was rather handy to be at a Dealership.

Where is the info on the St. Charles meet? I might have to try and schedule a work trip to Florissant towards the end of that week so I can work that in.

I might have to try and schedule a work trip to Florissant towards the end of that week so I can work that in. Try a search for St. Charles. Snarly hasn't put any real info in the rallies link other than the date. Found it http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=29657&highlight=St.+Charles
Cerviperus Posted January 6, 2009 #14 Posted January 6, 2009 Thanks. I think I found it about the time you did. Don't know if I could be there on that Thursday, but depending on my work schedule, I might be able to make the Friday/Saturday.
BOO Posted January 6, 2009 #15 Posted January 6, 2009 hey boo, where were you last year? WHERE WAS I?????? Where the heck were you, I was there two days last year and I don't remember seeing your mug there anywhere..... Don't worry about the wind, just twist the throttle a little more and slice right through it. Jerry

Bill and I were there on Saturday. Little rain, Lots of wind, but overall enjoyable. I even got to purchase a NEW battery
Russ Posted January 7, 2009 #17 Posted January 7, 2009 he lives! Just in hiding mode... weather turns cold and I turn anti-social, thinkin' about all the Venture riders down in warmer climates getting to keep riding makes me jealous and I start brooding. :-P

Pilot Posted January 10, 2009 #22 Posted January 10, 2009 I sort of wish I still lived in Troy, Ill. I love that place and used to ride up on Sat. for breakfast and then go and look at all the bikes and stuff. Usually ended up buying some thing.
Snarley Bill Posted January 10, 2009 #23 Posted January 10, 2009 last year it was packed on saturday. wanted to get a price on a new wing they had on the floor just like the one i bought, and could'nt get waited on, so i bought one in arkansas. i even called them the next monday and the best price they could give me was alot higher then what i finally got mine for. it is alot of fun. it's like a free bike show. we need to designate a meeting place on saturday at a certain time. so we can find each other. bill

I never bought there because like you said you can find a better deal else where. It's a nice place for all the other stuff and they will do your service or warranty work no matter where you buy your horse.
