Captainkirk Posted January 5, 2009 #1 Posted January 5, 2009 .....but didn't you used to be able to view which members have viewed a particular thread? I'm sure that used to be a function. Did it go away, or has it somehow been disabled?
93 venture Posted January 5, 2009 #2 Posted January 5, 2009 Na your not crazy,it used to keep track of the people but Don did away with it when he was having problems with the site.
SaltyDawg Posted January 5, 2009 #3 Posted January 5, 2009 I think it had to do with eating up resources on the server that could be better used elsewhere.
BradT Posted January 6, 2009 #4 Posted January 6, 2009 I think it had to do with eating up resources on the server that could be better used elsewhere. Yeh that is what Don said, but I thought it had something to do with big brother watching I liked that feature as well, but appearantly it chewed up ots of space Brad

Freebird Posted January 6, 2009 #12 Posted January 6, 2009 It was indeed very server intensive. Every time somebody clicked on a post, the system had to scan all the posts to see who had read it. I thought when I did it that it would be a nice feature but I really underestimated the resources that it would consume.
